HARRINGTON CONCRETE

Mr. Harrington was the highest bid (of 3), but the only contractor I actually trusted to do the job --- and I was right. We negotiated a little so that the concrete walls would not have pre-poured footers and that brought the price down a little. (the enlarge window-well was mostly excavated by my son --- a Mother's Day present! - so Mr. Harrington and his team of one needed to dig just a little more to make enough room for their forms......and because this was excavated out of clay that has been settled for at least 60 years (the house was built in 1946), footers seemed to be overbuilding. Mr. Harrington dropped by as arranged, on a Saturday morning to take a look at the site and sent me a bid a couple of days later by email. After I contacted him to say I wanted him to do the work and we negotiated the price, I let him know when the basement foundation was scheduled to be cut and the window installed. He touched base a few days before the day we scheduled him to do the job --- a day of the week when I work from home, so I could be here - to make sure we were still 'on'. He and Sam arrived a little earlier than he said --- more like 9AM when I had said 9:30A - not a problem, and he and I talked about the specifics of the job - made some measurements and marked the spot on the foundation that marked the top of the new window well. I made sure they knew where the hose was, and a power outlet in the garage and from then on, they got to work. By mid- afternoon they had installed the rebar - connecting to the foundation, and had built the plywood forms. Mr. Harrington told me that the cement truck would be delivering the cement sometime mid-morning on the next day so they could pour it. I was not there for that --- had to be at work, but saw the top 12 and quot; of the exterior walls of the window well and the top -- and it all looked great - and level with a good symmetrical 'fit' on either side of the window trim. On the 3rd day, I left late for work, and Mr. Harrington was there alone, removing the plywood from the interior sides of the window-well. When I got home, everything was put back where it had been before they started, and the window-well looked (and looks) great. I would definitely hire Tom Harrington again --

Awesome experience! They were very friendly and professional and the finished work was extremely well done. They are family owned and you can tell that they take a lot of pride in their work. I would definitely recommend them to anyone!

HARRINGTON CONCRETE DID ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL WORK! THEY WERE A BIT MESSY AND DIDN'T CLEAN UP SO WELL. THEY ALSO CHARGED A LOT...BUT THE PRODUCT WAS GREAT!
