Description of Work: Green Hammer designed and built a carport for us. It required no tree removal, was designed in harmony with the design of our home and was completed on time. The company is easy to work with and has an outstanding set of earth friendly operating principles.

Description of Work: Green Hammer remodeled our kitchen. It involved moving walls, building new closets and pantry, replacing 3 large windows and 2 exterior doors, and insulating walls and ceilings. They emphasize the use of environmentally friendly and sustainably produced products. They did a fantastic job; I was able to contain some of the costs of a remodel by doing some of the work myself, e.g., electrical and plumbing (of course, all properly permitted and inspected). They were very easy and accommodating to work with, and Tyler, the project manager, was exceptional! I would use their services again without any hesitation.

+ -1 moreI was disappointed that the bid for the work came in nearly 30% higher then the guesstimate but that can happen. What was more disappointing was that the charges for supplies were very padded (one example: $50 for a gallon of low VOC primer) AND you were expected to pay a 15% profit and overhead fee on top of materials and labor. I understand that either they didn't want to do the job at all, or they wanted to do it for a certain price, but I would have preferred a more direct and honest approach. When I questioned the cost estimates, I never got a response. I guess it was their way of telling us they didn't want the job.
Description of Work: We had them come out to bid on restoring our garage carriage doors.
