We found Tom through a caninet maker he's worked with before: Beaudrys (who were in turn recommended by a designer/project manager we knew). Tom fit in a visit to see our kitchen just before the 4th of July holiday. We told him the scope and budget of the job and right away he had ideas to save money on the project. We quickly received the quote by e-mail and he had itemized each part of the job (combining labor and materials for each part such as cabinets, flooring, etc.). Itemization helped us see each design decision's contribution to the overall cost. After a month of comparing bids and changing our minds about the scope of the job, throughout which Tom promptly and patiently answered any of our questions via e-mail, we did decide to sign with a different firm which had a designer to help us. If you have a good idea of what you want done and are looking for a professional, responsive, friendly remodeler with a clear CCB record (as of July 2015), then you should contact Tom Gibb.

Tom is very professional. Most importantly he is vey trustworthy. His work is excellent. He has wonderful subs who do great work. They arrive when scheduled and do great work. The work was started and completed according to schedule. No surprises. Tom has excellent ideas and is easy to work with. We use only Gibb Construction for all of our remodeling needs. I don't even bother to get bids from other contractors.
Description of Work: Replaced windows and trim. Remodeled living room fire place and wood columns.

Tom is the most professional remodeler we have ever worked with. His subs are very good and he was always on schedule. He has done all 3 of our bathrooms and we are extremely satisfied. We are scheduled to use him again this year to remodel our living room. I cant imagine using any other contractor for all of our future needs.

Tom and his crew were fantastic. He had done previous work for us (a house wide trim and door replacement, plus formal living/dining room refitting and framing) and we couldn't wait to get our kitchen, family room and downstairs bathroom remodeled. We drew out the plans with Tom and then he scheduled the project such that all of the necessary subcontractors were available and committed to guarantee we met our completion date. Three rooms completely ripped out and remodeled including new windows and french doors, hardwood floors, stone work, gas installation, cabinets and new lighting all completed in under a month and on budget (even though we added work). We're currently saving up to have Tom work on our master and guest bathrooms - the only rooms in the house he hasn't worked on yet. Highly recommended.
Description of Work: Removed all cabinets in kitchen and family room Removed carpet from family room, and new hardwood floor was laced into existing kitchen hardwood floor Sanded floors and restained Removed sliding doors and replaced with french doors Replaced kitchen window and nook windows Gas line installation for new gas stove Replaced utility room pocket door, and had kitchen pocket door stained to match new cabinets (fantastic stain job) New cabinets in kitchen and family room. Family room cabinets included a display case with lighting. Kitchen cabinets included several vertical pull outs, and integrated twin trash/recycle bins in the cabinetry. New granite counter tops with under cabinet lighting New undercounter sink with faucet and garbage disposal switch embedded in counter top. New ceiling lighting/moved some lighting - along with necessary ceiling patch work (excellent patch work, even prior to painting, couldn't tell anything had been done) New stone backsplash with metal accents New bathroom floor (stone) New bathroom cabinet and counter, with undercounter sink and new faucet Custom made bathroom mirror integrating styling from cabinet handles to carry the theme

Tom was wonderful. All of his sub-contractors were skilled and professional. We love all of our new rooms. Tom guided us through the process and even though the house was torn up during the renovation, he made it as livable and clean as possible. He was always kind, attentive to detail, and did a terrific job. We highly recommend him and remain grateful for how he helped us refresh our home; making it more modern, functional, and beautiful.

He was very pleasant, knowledgeable about all aspects of kitchen remodel, has a reliable and quality group of subcontractors, and realy tries hard to make it right. His schedule of when things would happen, and when it would be done was nearly perfect. We would highly recommend him to others needing someone to coordinate a kitchen remodel.
Description of Work: Most of the work of the kitchen, family room and dining room remodel was done by subcontractors. Gibb did the demo work, prep work, coordinated subontractors, and tear out of flooring (carpet and tile). He was at the job site for part of most days, except for tile work which took several days.

This was a 3 month job which started and finished per Tom Gibb's original schedule. The work done was not cheap but the work is going to last. He worked with me to control cost and make sure there was good value for the money spent. The quality and workmanship was excellent. He made sure I was satisfied with the results at times going to extraordinarily lengths to do so.
Description of Work: Project involved a major remodeling of the entire house. Almost every surface was redone. Work included: new roof, new windows, new hardwood floor, new LED lighting, new wood doors, complete remodel of bathroom with custom shower and cabinetry, residing one side of the house, interior and exterior painting.

This went very well. Tom was great at letting us know how to prep the rooms so that we could save on labor. We removed all the old trim and casing ourselves and moved the furniture away from the walls so that he could come in and lay everything down. He came and did a walk through about a week before the work and brought the mill rep - at that visit everything was measured, ordered and all design/styles decided on. The materials were delivered on time and the next week, work started. It took 2 days to do all of the carpentry work. Tom and a guy he subed to help him, Eric, were both very professional and willing to work around the stuff that we were doing (tiling and painting- you know - as long as you are doing one thing - you start to do another....) We found out that the mill had drilled some of the doors wrong for our antique hardware and Tom took care of having them returned and replaced. In addition, all the extra trim we didn't used was returned and the cost credited back to our invoice. All in all, it was worry free and we plan on having Tom come in and do a little more work for some finishing touches. We highly recommend Tom.
Description of Work: Tom came over and helped us decide on some updates to our home. We looked at replacing all the trim and molding, the doors, window casings and stair banister. We decided to do everything but the stair banister. Tom also recommended a plumber to help us move some pipes around in a bathroom remodel that we were doing ourselves.
