Tim really knows plumbing. He performed a thorough inspection which included a point by point process of elimination all the while providing information and updates about his findings. Highly recommended.

Horrible! I would never deal with Gator Plumbing again.

We have a home warranty with our home. When our water heater started to go out I filled a claim. They sent out Tim with Gator plumbing. My first contact with him was when he called me before he came out. He started off the conversation with " I told them (home warranty people) that I wasn't available until Friday. I don't have anything open Thursday" I thought that is a bit weird, just tell me you can come Friday...why tell me any of that?? He comes out Friday, looks at the water heater and immediately says it needs to be replaced. Ok, that is fine. We do the proper paper work, make the call to the warranty company, I gave him my deductible check and we set up a date for the following week for him to come and do the work. The night before he is scheduled to come he calls me at 10:06 pm. First of all....what professional calls someone at 10pm?? He then says he can't make it in the morning 9:30am like he is scheduled because of the weather. I tell him, well maybe you can come later in the day around noon after the roads thaw out.. He said ok and we plan for noon. Then I get a call from the home warranty people at 9:43am saying he can't make it today because the water heater is back ordered. So now you are telling me that he didn't know it was back ordered until this morning?? So now he wants to reschedule for the following week. I tell the home warranty company this isn't ok..they call him back and he then tells them to just cancel the service. So now he isn't coming at all....after he took my $60. Glad to know the home warranty company will be handling this. This guy is not professional at all.

We filed a claim against our home warranty that was about to expire for a rusted and leaking garbage disposal. The home warranty company chose Gator Plumbing out of SE Portland to make the necessary repairs. Owner Tim called not too longer after I filed the claim online to confirm the problem, model of the unit and when was a good time to come out. He had availability the very next morning. On the day of the appointment Tim called about half an hour before he was scheduled to arrive to let me know he was running a little late. When he arrived he apologized and got right to work diagnosing the disposal had to be replaced and getting the home warranty people on the phone to confirm the claim was legitimate. Tim was very professional and personable. He explained everything and showed me a few pointers along the way if I ever had to put another garbage disposal in (which I have done). He's a one man show and his quality of work shows. He placed a blue tarp down on our wood kitchen floor where the work was to be done. He wore shoe booties when he was in the house as to keep the floors clean. It took him about an 1hr 20mins to complete the job. The only thing I wasn't thrilled about was a thin greasy residue left on the kitchen floor from what must have been from his blue drop cloth. I actually slipped on the residue at one point but caught myself on the counter. While this was my only negative feedback, I was in fact satisfied with the work that was done. Tim if you read this, I'd suggest figuring out what was on your drop cloth so that another homeowner isn't injured. All-in-all I would recommend Tim and Gator Plumbing again.

Tim has done several jobs at our home and recently one at a rental property. He is reliable and does consistently good work for a very fair price. I appreciate his conscientiousness in walking me through the repairs at the end of each job. Tim takes pride in his work.

We had a home warranty that came with our home when we purchased it, and our water heater pilot light was going out frequently. The home warranty company had already sent several contractors out to examine it, all without success. When they sent Tim, he was able to diagnose the problem quickly, and worked with the home warranty company to get our water heater replaced. He did a great job on the installation (which was complicated by the fact that he had to source a water heater with very specific dimensions in order to fit into our basement), and we have had no problems in the year since the installation. We also had Tim unclog a clogged gutter drain for us later that same year, and he was in and out in a matter of < 30 minutes, and charged us a very fair price.

Tim arrived on time with covers for his shoes. It was raining outside so this was nice. He started in the bathroom and completed the job in good time. He then moved to the kitchen. Because we live in a mobile home, out plumbing is set up differently than he expected. This did not stop him from climbing under the house to ensure he did everything he could to get all the lines snaked well. He was not satisfied with how the kitchen line was draining, so he advised us that it would be best if we had the line jetted, which, unfortunately, he did not have the tools to do. Even though he was not satisfied with how the kitchen was draining, we have seen a vast improvement. Tim was courteous, helpful, explained everything he was doing and what else needed to be done. His prices were more than fair. I would definitely use him again and I made sure to get his business card so that I could suggest him to others.
