+ 0 moreThey came out and trained me on a new program for free. They can teach you everything from how to build a computer to how to use new software. It is a great program for getting grants. They run Linux as their operating system. It is a great place for people who want to learn more about their system.

+ -1 moreMost of the work is done by volunteers, including supervision. Thus, you may experience excellent help, then have a bad day with another volunteer. But overall, the time there is good.
Description of Work: Free Geek has two purposes: first, recycle material from old computers, second, reuse parts to build computers to give to people who earn them by doing work at the center. The work can range from disassembling old computers to cleaning to rebuilding computers (and Free Geek will teach how to rebuild).
