Slow start: Oregon weather and other issues delayed the start until well past when we planned to be done. No problem, though. Mr. Bradley kept us informed and up-to-date, introduced us to the copper fabricator (wow, a great job!) and, when weather permitted, got the job done promptly. Frank Bradley is an exceptionally personable guy and a very skilled carpenter. He is a pleasure to work with and we'd recommend him highly to anyone who wants a quality job done by a very honest craftsman. He also has superior subs: his painter (reviewed separately) and the copper fabricator (also reviewed separately) are first class, very talented and painstaking craftsmen. Because it was a remodel and replacement of existing work, the finishes, both inside and out, had to be made to match older, existing, woodwork. Mr. Bradly located a source to match our 1971 home's exerior, cedar, siding, so that the replacement siding above the new bay window is indistinguishable from the original siding to the left and right. Mr. Bradley also had milled and installed interior and exterior window trim to be harmonious with that of adjacent windows and doors, both inside and out. And the painting contractor perfectly matched the stain colors of the walls and trim, again, both inside and out. This, even though the adjoining exterior walls have not been re-stained in nearly 9 years. The bill was more than the budget. Some of that we expected when we opted for the copper roof. Some was a little bit of a surprise. The result was we were "over budget" by $2,142...about 24 %. But we are so pleased with the quality of the work that we do not grudge the difference. Oh, the "don'ts: Do NOT expect this type of project to run on a schedule in spring in Oregon! Lots of exterior work opening up the whole side of the house, then needing to be painted, required DRY weather. 2012 had one of the wettest springs on record! UGH!
