Nick did a nice and thorough job running the baseboard. I had the base milled up quite a while ago and had never gotten around to installing it. All our furniture was in which made the job more difficult. Nick worked around all existing conditions including floors that were not level and walls that were not square and he got things to look pretty good. He coped all inside corner joints and the fit was right on. He was very efficient with material and I have quite a bit more base left over than I was expecting. Nick also supplied, hung, and cased 6 doors for us. Three doors included tear out of the existing while three doors were just rough openings. We described generally what we wanted and Nick showed me some options. We chose a door style and Nick measured, ordered, and picked them up. All the doors are installed square and plumb with even reveals. The casing was also installed very well. Some of the existing door openings were fairly out of whack so getting all the doors in plumb was an accomplishment. Nick also ran some casing around an existing window and installed a bamboo threshold. I liked working with Nick. He is a sharp guy and conscientious about his work.
Description of Work: Nick supplied, hung, and cased 6 doors for us. He also installed some poplar baseboard which I already had throughout the house. He also cased a window for me which was not part of his original scope of work.

We saw Nick's ad on the Internet and called him for an estimate. He returned our call the same day and was able to come give us an estimate the next day. We were comfortable with Nick right away and he gave us suggestions to improve our built-in idea, which was greatly appreciated. He told us he would get us an estimate within a day or so. Although he didn't give us an estimate on the spot, the estimate he did give us two days later was the amount he billed us for so the wait was worth it. Also, he didn't mark up any materials. While Nick worked on the project, he would show up when he said he would, always returned our calls, graciously answered our every question, and always kept the work area clean and tidy. He did estimate and take a bit more time than the other contractor we contacted, but the final result was well worth it - right on budget and beautiful!
Description of Work: Replaced trim, hung doors, and designed/built/installed custom shelving and built-ins.
