We had a great experience. We went in a couple of times to look at products and answer questions and were treated graciously and with patience. When we finally picked main hard-surface flooring, they helped pick suitable padding and complimentary flooring for the water closets. They coordinated closely with installer on amounts to order including trim pieces for around the fireplace and transition strips for the water closets. Our order was completed and ready to be picked up when they said it would be, and they coordinated with installer for pickup. We are pleased with our purchase and would recommend this business to friends and family.

The flooring we ordered was not groutable as indicated when we ordered it, and paid for it. Too late to change horses, in mid stream. The recommended installation contractor, Don Cavender, was never on time or available when needed. The contractor also put carpet over an existing heating outlet, and would not fix the problem for days. Installation was so-so except for the seams between rooms, really bad craftsmanhip there. Neither company nor contractor would be one we would ever recommend.

They were very good. We got one product and it was damaged, and they took it back and we got another one. They were absolutely excellent. They were very helpful. They came out and picked up the bad product, and brought us a new product. They helped to shop and they were just wonderful. They were very easy to work with. They were very prompt and they returned our phone calls right away. We would certainly use them again in the future if we needed to.

We have dogs (one over 125 lbs.) and after discussing the pros and cons with GG decided on engineered wood flooring with a more rustic finish. We have had the flooring for three years now and are as satisfied today as we were when the floors went in. We had one threshold that was faulty and became terribly scratched and worn after just a few months but we were put in touch with the manufacturer and the piece was replaced and has withstood the dogs and a huge amount of foot traffic with no noticeable wear. We wanted a casual look and appreciated the suggestion of using 7" and 5" wide floor boards - we love our floors and would definitely purchase from Flooring Depot again.

Needed new flooring for entire house. Very helpful over the course of several weeks in helping us finally decide on the product. We laid the flooring ourselves, and it turned out great. Would definitely recommend them to everyone! When you go there, be sure and say Hi! to Brodie ;)

My son and his family moved out or our house and we decided to paint the bedrooms and re-carpet the rooms. We did the painting then we went to the flooring depot and found carpet in their remements that was just what we wanted. They suggested several installers and we just picked Jeremy and what a great choice. He was able to take up the old carpet, put new carpet padding and carpets in both rooms in one day. All the old stuff was hauled off and the rooms were transformed into new bedrooms. This was done in october 2011 and then after the first of this year we decided to redo our small bathroom. Jeremy & Scott installed new linoleum and cove base and did a great job--another new room added to our house. Thanks guys

If they don't have it right there in their big warehouse, don't worry about it--go somewhere else. But everywhere else has to send away for it anyway. Then, good luck getting it when you want it and having it look like you expect it to. And everywhere else will charge you for samples to take home. These folks TRUST you with their samples. Not a big staff; don't be in a rush. But expect to be listened to and cared for. Overall, exactly the shopping experience I wanted.. And the carpet looks great.

Gigi and Tom are friendly and personable. They are knowledgeable about their products, listened to our needs and concerns, and didn't hesitate to steer us away from products they felt would not meet our needs. We really enjoyed working with them and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them or to use them again.

We found ourselves in the middle of a rapid out of state relocation, at the same time needing to have our floors redone before we moved in to our house. We flew into Portland with long a list of flooring vendors that we had found on-line. After two days of going from store to store to look at material to decide what we wanted to have installed in our home - we knew we wanted to work with Flooring Depot. Ted and GG were very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. We also felt that they were going to provide superior customer service because they seemed truly interested in our move and helping us find the right product for our home. We spent hours looking at samples in the store - GG even came to the house so that she could see the space and help us in the decision making process. We were never given a hard sell to buy within certain price points and will always feel as if they were dedicated to helping us find just the right materials for our budget. They listened to our needs and asked us lots of questions, which both helped in the final decision making process. We could tell they truly cared about the end result of our project and how happy we would be living with it once it was installed. We had our move date set and they committed to working with their installer to ensure the floors were done right and on time. The follow up that they provided to us was amazing, as this work was being done while we were out of state packing for our move. Flooring Depot went above and beyond ensuring that things were going smoothly and communicating the progress as our move date neared. The level of their dedication and customer service has set a new high standard for us! During the entire process they were helpful and just as important...polite and friendly. They communicated with us every step of the way and we will always appreciate their customer service. As a side note - the installer was very professional and did a beautiful job. We love our floors!

After spending several months visiting numerous retailers and outlets for flooring material, we ended up at Flooring Depot. Not only did they have the exact floor we had in mind, but the price was surprisingly less than what we saw at other retailers that offered average quality laminate. Since we were novices, we had a ton of questions. Ted was knowledgeable and took time to go over the layout of the rooms to how much we may need. We appreciated his expert advise on teaching us the easiest way to lay down the laminate. We were impressed by the mere fact that he even stayed once his showroom closed for the day and told us to call anytime if we had questions(which we did have to call and he gave us the answer we needed). We had extra boxes left over after the job was completed and it wasn't a problem to return them for credit. Ted and Gigi made this DIY experience a breeze. We absolutely love our floors.

We took up and disposed of the 6 year old carpet, left carpet tack strips intact. When Phil was laying the carpet he said we had to pay him, that the store doesn't pay him. I called Flooring Depot and got their answering machine, told them the situation but they had not returned my call 3 hours later. When GG answered she passed the call to Ted who refused that their price includes everything even though the price right above the carpet sample shows it includes everything and GG told us 2 times when we were ordering it included install. On the sales order she broke down the carpet and pad and was charging $3.50/sq ft for the pad. We caught that before we paid so she put it as a $110 discount-Ted was not happy. We are reporting to BBB and probably small claims court. We have never taken anyone to court even though we could have for way bigger things.
