+ 0 moreThe work went smoothly, quickly, and affordably. The crew was efficient in their work and completed the job quite nicely, including most of the cleanup. For a crew of 2 or 3 working between 8 and 12 hours scattered across four different days, I thought the price ($1,235) was entirely reasonable. I will happily recommend Fix-A-Fence to my neighbors. This pro is popular! Scheduling was over 3 months in advance, yet I didn't mind, because my project wasn't time-sensitive and they didn't require a down payment of any kind.

My grading would be a C+ if that were an option because the materials and construction look kind of shoddy, in contrast to my new, recently completed fence, which looks very nice.

Description of Work: The cedar fence on the north side of my property is in some weird wind vortex from the Gorge. Every time the wind blows in from the Gorge it snaps fence posts like toothpicks. I have 2 large dogs and must have a yard for them since I am a handicapped senior citizen living alone and can't walk them. In Nov. 2016 the west end of the fence snapped and slammed against my garage. John came out on time, gave me a reasonable estimate then came by 2 weeks before I was scheduled to be taken care of and fixed it between jobs because he saw what a bind I was in. Then Mar. 6, 2017 the wind blew down the center sections of my fence while I was in Mexico celebrating my Godmother's 90th birthday. I was injured in a fall on a cobblestone street while there and am using a walker to get around. I called John as soon as I got back and he told me I had a long wait until he could get to me. Bless his heart, he rescheduled some things and when I got home from Kaiser the next day the fence was fixed. He replaced the cedar fence posts that had broken and fixed the panels. I would definitely recommend Fix-A-Fence LLC to anyone needing a repair. Linda L Anderson

They did a great job and it only took them about an hour.After comparing to other vendorson Angie's List I found Fix-A-Fence's bid to be reasonable. I would definitely hire Fix-A-Fence for future fence repairs and would recommend them to friends and neighbors.

His bid came in well below others and the repair work was skillfully performed in one day. He was easy to communicate with via email as well which is always a plus these days. Would highly recommend and will be a top pick for our own future repair needs.
Description of Work: Repaired a small section of our fence including the replacement of several posts. Also rebuilt a poorly constructed gate that had been giving us problems.

Description of Work: John made the time to repair my fence sooner that he thought because he knew I needed it due to my business. He and his crew showed up on time and went right to work even though it was raining and they did a good job. My only complaint is that some debris was left and I had to get help to remove it.

John agreed to repair the rails on the new fence; he gave us a time he would be out to fix the fence. John showed up when he said he would and completed the rails to our complete satisfaction.

The work was finished quickly and the repairs seem to have been done well. I would have no hesitation in using this contractor for fence repair projects.

+ -1 moreI had a rather small job that I couldn't do myself but was worried I wouldn't be able to find a contractor who thought it would be worth their time. Thankfully, John seems to specialize in this sort of work and came out right away to take a look and gave me a great quote. It was so great, in fact, that I was actually somewhat concerned! (~1/3rd the cost of a larger general contractor I got another quote from). But, I shouldn't have been - John was clear in all his communication, showed up on-time and completed the job in less than a day. The work itself was done very professionally and the repaired section feels very solid (now the gate finally closes without any catching).
Description of Work: Re-poured two cedar posts and re-set gate connected to one of the posts.

The work was performed on time as promised. The job was very well done and took the amount of time he had estimated. John did what he said he'd do and he did it when he said he would. The first visit was to look at the fence and give us an estimate, and we made an appointment to schedule the repairs within a few days. He arrived on time and, with the help of an assistant, finished the work in about a hour. They were fast, efficient and the work was high-quality.
