Fidel Bobadilla

Fidel came as a recommendation from one of Angies List top gutter companies. They were too busy and booked a month out so they recommended Fidel. I believe he was an employee before but went out on his own. Great testament that his old employee trust him enough to be sending out business his way. So he replaced the old gutter system that was popping off the sides of our house. He explained how the nails just weren't cutting it and how it would use a bracket to keep them from separating from the house. On the initial visit he did all his measurements and priced the job pretty quickly. Second appointment he came with sample sections to show us how he matched the colors on our house. Once we approved the colors we made an appointment for the install. Installation took the whole day with an assistant to replace our whole house. Was early for appointment and prepped his area and cleaned up after just like you would expect. Now I use him to clean the gutters on a seasonal bases because he will also maintain them. All and all great service.

They were outstanding and did a good work. They explained what we needed and what they were going to do. I thought I needed something and they explained why I needed something else. I went with their advice and it turned out he was correct. They went out of their way to find a gutter that matched my new paint job and the gutters were a really good match. He finished the job in a day and his price was the cheapest.

It's an old house and the gutter nails were popping off. We felt the old gutters needed repair so we called a highly rated Angies list member but they were so booked up that it was going to take forever. I asked if they would recommend someone else and they said Fidel. He use to work for them for many years and trusted his work. He's a small operation but was very responsive to my phone calls. He came out for the bid on time and quickly did his measurements and within 30-40 mins we had a bid. He explained why the nails were popping off and provided a solution to use a certain bracket to keep them from popping back out. I was looking to just repair the gutters but asked him to quote me new gutters as well. When he gave me the price to get new gutters I was a little surprised. I guess I had a bigger number in mind so we moved forward with just replacing the old ugly gutters we had and using the brackets. The job took less then a day. He has also come back a few times to clean them. Communicates both via phone and email which has been nice. The house looks great with my new clean off-white gutters and everything seems to be draining just fine. Will be using again on our new house.

Fidele was recommended by our general contractor. I called him to come out and give us a bid for adding new gutters and repairing existing gutters and giving us a bid for doing the whole house with new gutters, screens and downspouts. We felt that rather than do piece meal, that Fidele's bid for all new gutters/screens and cleanout traps was fair and reasonable. Fidele came to the house on the scheduled day with one helper. He did the complete job in 5-6 hours. As far as we can see, the gutters look great, are installed correctly. If there are any problems, I will come back and amend this review but we are very happy with the work, materials and price.

My neighbor was watching the guys work and was impressed at how they took their time and did the job right. In the end, the work looked better than I expected and in heavy rain, the gutters work well.

Fidel's estimate was far below 2 other gutter companies that my husband contacted. One contractor was afraid to do the job because of the unique curved gutters on our home. Fidel recommended that we use aluminum, instead of steel, which turned out to be a good choice because they came pre-finished and will be more durable in the Portland climate. My husband did have to customize the gutters himself to fit the curves on our house, but Fidel did all of the installation. He and his crew were courteous and the gutters and downspouts look great. He even worked on Saturday and Sunday to finish some work.

It took 2 months and about 10 contractors to find Fidel. Everyone else was too busy or charge ridiculous prices. Called on a Monday, Fidel came out the next day to give a quote. Came out on a Sunday in the pouring rain to install the gutter. Very professional.

Sequence of work was to take off old gutters, have another company put on siding, then put up new gutters. Fidel went out of his way to get the old gutters off so the siding could be done (he made an extra trip), then came back a couple of weeks later to put the new gutters on. While putting on the new gutters we came across a problem, we put our heads together for a solution, which involved him making a third trip back with a different forming machine, problem solved! He stayed in touch with me and when the schedule was disrupted he let me know. He was a good guy to work with and had a good price.
