I had someone else come in first and they made a mess, but this company came in right away and did a fabulous job. There were a few days that they did not come when they were supposed to. My only issue with him was that he wanted to bill me additional money outside our contract. He would not give me the warranty on my floor because I did not want to pay the additional money that he was not contracted for.

Tom and company were flexible to work with our dynamic schedule and separate countertop installation. I would recommend them to a friend.

My brother and I have two investment properties. I recommended them to my niece who has a house for a huge remodel. I have full confidence in work they do and that is a great thing to have. They keep you fully informed and you know what the options are, if they do say some secure short which I actually never take. I always want to do things that are going to improve. Those times the people who worked with him are also same because he does not want to redo things nor have things done unwell. In terms of price, I can probably get somebody to do these jobs for less money, but in throughout the years, I have not experienced with the staff at this point saying that when I hired Tom, I know that I am absolutely gaining my money worth because I would rather pay just a little bit more for a really great work and a little bit less for not great work.

Contractor provided estimate, and start date. After a few clarifications and date set, all work was completed within the agreed upon time frame with addition of painting. Communication was excellent about when to expect what, tile installer did excellent job and make a few appropriate recommendations. Overall excellent work, very postive experience.

I recommended them to my niece and they are doing some major work for her right now. Overall, the job and the clean up was fine. Their price was not a bargain but it was completely worth it. I probably could have found a contractor who would do it for less but I was glad as I liked them. Their communication was terrific and everything happened on time. The process was very good. They were flexible along the way in presenting options or making any adjustments. I have used them twice. The work has always been great and of first grade. My experience with Mr. Tom Radcliff has always been great and of first grade as well. I would use them again in the future.

They are very reliable and do a good job. I highly recommend them and will use the same in future.

I have used this general contractor before for many projects including a complete master bathroom remodel. I have been more than pleased with every aspect of working with FBS. Obviously, because after obtaining three estimates for another major remodeling project, we once again chose FBS for our most recent project. It is absolutely beautiful. Tom Radcliff has excellent communication skills and bends over backward to make sure all is to our satisfaction. He is easy to work with, and is open to suggestions. He is an excellent coordinator. He works closely with Brian Vargas, and Chris who do most of the hands-on work. Tom uses sub-contractors for the parts of the job which Brain and Chris do not perform. FYI: Prior to selecting FBS for the major remodel, I checked his references for the most current jobs they had done, and similar to my experiences all clients were exceptionally pleased. The PROJECT: We gutted entirely our 1980's kitchen and family room. A brick fireplace in the center of the family room was removed, and the room was opened to the room behind the fireplace. Demo was extensive due to the weight of the fireplace extending down under the house to over the second story roof. Ceiling and floor support were installed. New windows, hardwood flooring, walls, cabinetry, granite countertops, pantry, custom glass table with contemporary stainless steel base, buffet, stainless steel built in gas fireplace, custom office desk, new appliances, pass through window/shelf from kitchen sink to patio, TV entertainment center, ceiling fan and lighting, full cabling for surround sound etc. were installed. Of course with any remodeling project there are always unforeseen issues. FBS communicated each issue to us and together we came up with solutions. The project was projected to take 4 months to complete, and in the end took 5 months. The additional month was not the fault of FBS, but rather the company from whom the cabinets were ordered. Again, we are so delighted with our new remodel!! Now I can have more than 6 people at a time in our kitchen/family room since the area is now like a great room/entertainment area.

Some repair work that became necessary in the course of having the house exterior painted was performed by FBS. Tom Radcliff was referred by the painter I eventually hired. Tom and his crew did thorough and careful work. They were good about explaining things, and took care in doing the job right. They were courteous, professional, punctual and picked up after themselves. I'd use them again.

I have used Family Building Services several times for various jobs in the past three years including painting, new fan installs, reinforcement of foundation, but the most recent job performed was a complete master bathroom remodel. The bathroom was a very dated 1980s bathroom, and now it is a beautiful very modern 2008 bathroom complete with glass-enclosed fabulous shower with niches and tiled bench, a soaking tub, tile floors and walls and much more, and completed to our satisfaction. Tom is one of the best communicators I know in the business. He is extremely flexible and patient and will go out of his way to get a job done. Actually, he is great to work with. His co-owner, crew and subs are competent, friendly and great at what they do. Everyone was professional and very willing to answer my questions during the entire project. The workmanship was excellent and they cleaned up as much as possible every day. The tile person consulted me directly with any questions on placement, angles, trim and special details and was meticulous in detail and overall final look, he answered all my questions, was very easy to work with and very professional. All workers were very friendly and professions and were always willing to answer my questions. Due to a problem on another project no work was done for 3 weeks which impacted the scheduling of the hardwood floor installation and refinishing making completion of the project last a month longer than scheduled. Toward the end of the project I did not always know if someone was coming to work until they arrived or not. There remains a broken window part and the door roll screen installation which have not been fixed. The overall workmanship is excellent & looks wonderful.
