"I ABSOLUTELY CANNOT SAY ENOUGH GREAT THINGS ABOUT DAVE FAHLMAN AND FALHMAN CONSTRUCTION!!! This is the 3rd major project we have hired Dave to do over the last 10 years AND it will not be our last! We first hired Dave to redo our entire kitchen 3 years after we moved into our home. The kitchen is an outstanding example of QUALITY design and construction! Under counter lighting is truly a marvel! Cabinets are still beautiful! Kitchen windows are high caliber and are a dream to open! The granite on our counter was subcontracted to one of Dave's exceptional people! Dave only hires excellent, honest, competent workmen to complete projects and to work beside him. About 3 years later we hired Dave Fahlman to redo our master bathroom. Dave outdid himself in the design and materials used to transform our master bathroom from standard and "adequate" to wonderful, exciting, and BEAUTIFUL!! He once again showed us how a true craftsman performs his magic!! Windows over the vanity are easy to open and gorgeous to see! They are functional and "clean" looking! All stone tiles were placed by the same stone masons (subcontract) that worked with the granite in our kitchen! The grout, the stone, the hand-constructed shower and flooring, and the jacuzzi bath tub are spectacular! If I could chose a room in which to entertain and "show-off" our home...it might just be this bathroom!! Comfortable, lots of storage (cabinets with doors and drawers), wonderful entrance pocket-door for extra space in the bedroom, and 2 skylights in the ceiling are unbelievably beautiful and so very functional to say the least! The best part is that after 4 years everything is still as good as it was when first built!! No cracking, peeling, pulling-apart, or failure of materials AND it is so easy to keep clean and beautiful! Now.. In our minds and our planing, this project was a going to be a "quick-fix" (sort of) that became a much bigger project than first we thought and NOT because Dave tried to talk us into doing more for more money!! Everything that Dave noted that needed to be done was absolutely ON THE MARK! Dave explained why the work was necessary or he made suggestions of how to make a door or wall or siding lasts a little while longer IF we needed to wait! He talked with us about the different materials (type and quality) that could be used on each part of this remodel. Dave provided us with written estimates, written progress, and written final costs. In a couple of instances he explained why he was providing a possibly higher estimates (time, materials, subcontractor costs and hired help fees, his fee per hour, etc) and when the final billing was presented it was LOWER THAN THE ESTIMATE!!! There is no "padding" of his costs! For the sheet rock completion and the painting, workmen will need to return to finish, now that they have access to the areas needing completion. Dave has been working with us still, to ensure the final stages will be finished on time and be every bit as GREAT as the whole project! Finally: Homeowners really only want a couple of things when it comes to hiring someone to help start, maintain, and remodel a home. Honesty, integrity and time being well spent. Both the money spent on materials and work-hours should be reasonable and be the TRUE costs! We expect good quality and well made materials at whatever level of cost and we desire honest laborers who are punctual. Most of all COMMUNICATION and FACTS must be provided to and from the contractor and the homeowner. In my opinion... the BEST parts about Dave Fahlmen (besides everything else...) (1) He LIKES what he does for a living! He is his own boss and he really appreciates all the opportunities provided to him to perform his craft. (2) He enjoys each part of his job. He is really a good "teacher" and he will gladly spend extra time figuring out the best way to accomplish something, provide information to you, and will take the time (if necessary) to help you understand anything that is a little complicated! (3) One will never meet or work with a finer man! He is HONEST, TRUSTWORTHY, TRUE, COMPETENT, ARTISTIC and he believes in VALUES!! He will not cut-corners, nor will he tell you anything but the truth! One can trust him to be in your home and make your home even BETTER and more valuable!! Aren't those the characteristics that make a really great (not just good) Contractor?!!!

Dave came to inspect each project area to get the estimate on materials cost and approximate time he needs to complete the project. Then we scheduled the start date.He came in and started working on the deck, then on to sidings, to get the outside works done while the weather was nicer.He is very detailed and meticulous at his work.He is my "go to" guy for all repairs and remodeling.
