Eric Olson Electric

Eric Olson Electric was a subcontractor for an HVAC company that was hired to install a circuit for our new AC unit. One of their electricians had no mask whatsoever. I told him he couldn't come into the house unless he followed basic COVID-19 protocols which including wearing a mask. I told him that we had 4 friends & family members who have died (most were medical providers). I heard him tell the other electrician that he didn't have a mask!! His colleague gave him a mask which he put on for a couple of minutes and then took it off as he worked in my house next to our backdoor and then he hung the mask on my backdoor knob when he left. What an insensitive *******. It is painful enough to have to have to deal with COVID-19 and the deaths of our friends and family but to be so incredibly inconsiderate is just unforgivable. His initial behavior when he arrived at my house demonstrated that he did not believe in the reality of COVID-19 or the risks. If you value your health or have family members that are medically fragile stay away from this company. The work was also mediocre, having left the new circuit's wire in our basement's exposed ceiling dangling below pipes and other perpendicular items not even secured to the cross beams (the zip tie is mine). This mask-less behavior is clearly a company tolerated policy too otherwise he would have had been required to wear a mask. Until more people experience the terrible loss of friends and family to COVID-19 this kind of behavior will continue.

Horribly. The panel they use to replace our old one was larger than the existing one, however they managed to cut a hole way bigger than necessary, cutting through to the other side of the wall Into our kitchen. Leaving to holes in the kitchen. There were gaps surrounding the panel exposing wires. The also moves the meter outside and left a huge hole in the side of our house with exposed wires. We called to have them rectify the situation. And were treated horribly like we should've known that this would happen. They came out with an attitude to "fix" if you can call it that, the shoddy work. And it looks even worse.

We have used them a number of times, not for big jobs, but for modifying things around here. They put one thing in the wrong place, but they did it well. Basically it's perfect, but it's slightly in the wrong place. Their responsiveness was very good.

I called them and left a message 4 days ago describing a small-ish electrical job that I needed done. They haven't returned my call, I wonder if it's simply not a big enough job. If that's the case they should have the courtesy to let me know it's not a large enough job for them. This is just poor business practice.

They responded quickly. Appeared very honest in that our situation was very simple. Quckly fixed things and left with a minimum charge.

It went fine he did the work we need in the time alotted.

Job went well. Eric and an employee worked to complete the installation.

I selected this company from Angie's List based on location and good reviews. Mr Olson arrived on time, met with my husband (Louis S.) who directed him on what he wanted Mr Olson to look over. My husband was impressed with his suggestions and professionalism at that time. Mr Olson did not charge for his time to inspect and prepare an estimate however he never delivered on the estimate. My husband was definitely interested in hiring him for the work and waited for a call or e-mail with estimate. He left at least two voice mails requesting this and did not even receive a call back. This must indicate Mr Olson had no interest or too busy to perform the work yet notification to us would have been the appropriate thing to do, thus we had to downgrade him on responsiveness and professionalism. We left work early to meet him at the property so our time is valuable as well and had to spend yet more time looking for yet another electrician. Very disappointing. A response would have been appropriate and appreciated, no matter if Mr Olson was simply not interested in performing the work for us -- that's fine, just let the person know. That would be the professional course of action and just plain and quot;good businessand quot;. No work was performed so we cannot speak to quality and also he did not charge us for the time.

When I first called Eric he was very helpful and nice. He had his worker Pat come out. Pat went right to work when he got here and when he finished he cleaned up after himself. When he was drilling down he miscalculated and went through the ceiling instead of the wall. Pat felt horrible and was very honest about it. The next day Eric called me first thing in the morning, saying he was very sorry and that he would pay for whoever I wanted to fix the ceiling. When Pat was finished he came up to me and said to hold onto the money until the ceiling was fixed. They are great guys who I would use again.

Some difficulty in scheduling, but good professionalism and followup. I'd call them again no problem.

Olson's work on the heat pump was professional. After the heat pump was installed, we started experiencing some other problems. This installation didn't creat the new problems but surfaced them. We called Olson's with our concerns and they sent the electrican out right away. He spent quite a bit of time checking the electrical panel and possible solutions to the problem at no charge. He was very professional and willing to go that extra distance to help us

Everything went fine - job done -- all were happy! I would use them again in a minute,

My husband met with him and explained the problem. Eric took care of it quickly. He figured out the problem pretty fast. He did not waste our time. He was good. I have no complaints.

Eric Olson Electric was suggested by my vendor that installed my air conditioning and the technician did a very good job and was on time for the installation
