+ -1 moreWe have worked with Andrew and family for many years, his father and older brother before him. He is very reliable and does good work. He is quiet by nature but has a great work ethic. Sometimes he can be a little slow to respond but don't let that deter you.

Description of Work: Andrew has been doing our work for some time following his father and older brother. He is a one man gang so he takes some time to get to you but does good work. There are others who are more professional and far more business-like but we like the personal touch and he provides that. He is not likely for you if you are in a hurry.

+ 1 moreI told him what i wanted to achieve, how much time and money I had to spend on upkeep, etc. He helped me figure out how to do it.
Description of Work: Andrew's small company did work for me more than once. He installed underground irrigation,including bringing the water from the line, creating zones, etc., control taught me how to make adjustments, installed extra faucet. One time h came out to help me when i couldn't remember how to turn system on/off one year. Another time he installed a patio using natural pavers I'd handpicked, selecting which pieces to put where to make the shape I wanted and include a tree I'd planted. He was a pleasure to work with and did a fine job. I am guessing at the amount of money. I think it was more, but I can't recall now.

+ -1 moreHe discovered several leaks in our system. To get to them he needed to dig under our sidewalk which was a lot of work. I was amazed at how creative he was and felt another contractor would have destroyed landscaping and part of our walkway to access this problem. We have used him several times and have always had great results.
Description of Work: Andrew evaluated our sprinkler system and discovered several leaks (which were very hard to find).adjusted the water flow on various sprinkle heads to better water parts of our yard that were under or over watered.

+ -1 moreEarth sculpt came and repaired our leaky sprinkler and did a backflow check for us. It was done very well but the backflow report took a long time getting to the bureau. I had to call Earth sculpt to remind them to send the report.

+ -1 moreandrew is a bit slow to return a call (it is his busy season, after all) but when he makes an appointment he shows up on time. he is a good listener and quietly and competently goes about his work. he diagnosed the problems, fixed them and moved on.

+ -1 moreLow-flow spray sprinklers were installed for the lawn and drip irrigation for the beds. A second job to install sprinklers for a parking strip was also done. Overall great work. Sometimes hard to get a hold of, but he ultimately comes through. Expensive, but no one else accepted the job because of the complexity and he preserved the entire landscaping.
Description of Work: I moved into a house with very established (but new) landscaping and wanted to install spray irrigation for the lawn and drip irrigation for the beds without damaging the landscaping. Of 4 different quotes, he was the only one to accept the job.

+ -1 moreIt went great except hooking up with Andrew by phone can take days. But his prices and quality well worth it. He also discovered another sprinkler system we didn't even know we had. His work is top of line and you can not beat his prices.
Description of Work: Needed to have 3 broken sprinklers fixed and also new heads put on 6. Used before and was pleased totally. Andrew and his team do great work very honest. Also needed water drip system adjusted.

+ -1 moreIt went very well. He seemed very knowledgeable from the start and didn't try to push or sell us anything we didn't need. He showed up when he said he would, and cleaned up at the end of the day so there was no mess left for us. We originally hired him to just do the front yard, but were very pleased with the results, so we had him make the improvements in the back yard as well.
Description of Work: Installed drip irrigation in the front yard which consisted of 4 valves/zones added to the existing controller. Replaced a faulty main valve and extended a line for a new hose bib. Converted one of the existing zones in the back yard, that was not watering properly, from spray to drip.

Eventually made contact again and setup the time to handle the install. Install ran a day longer than estimate but the work was fantastic.

The cost matched the estimate exactly. Andrew came back the day after they were done because it fit into our schedule - for final payment and demonstration and instructions of the system. They cleaned up all work and left everything gorgeous! We highly recommend Earth Sculpt.
Description of Work: Earth Sculpt removed dead lawn, brought in new top soil, rototilled in the new soil, installed a sprinkler system in front, side and back yard. Laid sod, and gave us a demonstration and directions for using our system.

Description of Work: Complicated area between house and detached garage, which had corners that did not line up. Plus deck was in this area that has four steps leading down to the driveway. Within this area, I wanted to place a gate to keep the kids in the backyard. But, I wanted the gate to be "light" in design while adding privacy. I gave very vague ideas to Andrew and he took it and came back with a beautiful design incorporating Douglas fir, bamboo, cedar boards, and expanded metal.

He didn't show up, and called at 6:20 pm to tell me he was not going to make it because he got busy with work. I thought you were supposed to call before the appointment to say your not going to make it, not after the fact??This is becoming so typical of contractors now days.

He did a very careful job of installing the new one, and left our home and garden in good order. He is a good listener and seems to be a fine problem solver. I'd hire him again in a second.

+ -1 moreTriple A++++ on every aspect of the job. He is a true find and is knowledgeable and very dependable and the work top notch. First person I hired from Angie's list that actually doesn't leave a mess in any category.
Description of Work: Andrew came out and fixed a decaying and leaking sprinkler system. He had to dig up the length of the house to take out the existing pipe, then lay down new pipe and then hook it up. He also installed an excellent drip system for hanging plants around the entire house. Stunned with what an excellent job he did.
