They had moved our upright piano twice previously and done a good job at a fair price.I called them again and they were non-responsive for a number of business days. By the time they called back, I had arranged for another mover. The person on the phone was polite but offerred no explanation for their lack of responsiveness.

Called on Thursday to get a price quote. Was told that Saturday would work for them. Confirmed with folks at both houses for availability and called back on Friday to confirm. The two movers arrived at the late end of the planned pick-up time, but said that the previous move had been very difficult. Loading and delivery of piano went very well.

They were actually a little early. They used enough men (3) to do the job very efficiently. Came up the stairs so fast I didn't get to watch it! I didn't have piano coasters, so they left the moving blankets under it and one of them came back in a few days to lift the piano so I could slide the coasters under it. Great job!

Great. They had to reschedule once, I had to reschedule once but they called ahead, arrived on time, were careful and the move went very smoothly.

Two movers brought the piano, via a dolly, up the driveway, across the yard and stopped to let the piano tuner clean out the dust from a piano that hadn't been cleaned (ever). The hardest part was getting it up the four concrete steps, onto a small landing and making a tight turn through the front doorway into the house. I thought they were going to lose it when the angle was the steepest, one mover still at sidewalk level and the other on the landing with no elbow room, but they made a final shove and got it onto the landing. It was nerve-wracking to watch and I'm glad someone else offers this service.
Description of Work: Moved a spinet piano from almost Gresham to inner SE Portland. No steps at one end, four steps at the other.

The movers carefully removed the carved legs, wrapped the legs and piano case in padding, and placed it on a dolly to slid down the steps. With one man beneath the piano and one stationed on the uphill side, they slowly lowered it down. The stairway was barely wide enough but they were able to manage. Next the piano was loaded on its side into the large moving van. When the van arrived at our destination, about 15 miles away, they dollied and carried the large piano into the main room. The piano legs were replaced onto each corner of the piano and it was placed where we wanted it. Since this piano is over 100 years old, much care needed to be taken. They seemed to do this work with ease. It certainly was something we could not accomplish ourselves.
Description of Work: Two men from D & M Piano movers came to our home in Gresham to relocate our 1878 square grand piano which is 6-1/2 by 3-1/2 feet long. This is a very heavy piano that needed to be carried down 12 steps from a split level house. We wanted to safe-guard our beautiful antique piano.
