The reason I remember the date is because when I was given the bill they said I was missing a lug nut to my tire. They told me like I did it but their dealership was the only ones that had ever taken my tire off. They told me they were out of lug nuts. I went to another tire place and asked them to put on a lug nut. They realized that at Courtesy Ford when they put the tire back on they used an air ratchet and it kind of stripped the threads at the beginning. So they tried to make it like I did it but I've never taken off the tires myself. That's how come I remember that date. That's the last time I've ever seen them. That's the reason I've never gone back, because they lied to me. I had a big hassle with my van because I had a stripped out lug nut, not lug nut but where it goes on. They were kind of quick but they screwed things up. I haven't been back and they are right down the road from me. The oil change was good. That's about it.
Description of Work: It was an oil change. I think it might have been their special for a oil change and tire rotation.

Courtesy Ford is using a Autotrader Dealer software packing to determine your trade-in value of your car. For my car I used NADA, Kelley Blue Book, Autotrader and Cars.com to determine my fair trade-in value. Courtesy Ford software undermined my car value by $4000 and wouldn't budge a bit. The salesman became rude when I showed him on my smart phone what the actual value of my car was worth. Even using the online Autotrader.com, they disagreed with the value. My car’s in absolutely perfect condition, no work is needed to resell it. Luckily for me, Ford has manufactured 1000’s of these Fusion Hybrids. After a few hours of negotiating I had to throw in the towel. They advertise as being a Hassle free dealership, that has yet to be seen.

I went to Courtesy Ford to test drive and maybe purchase a used truck they had for sale on their lot, after the test drive I asked what was the sale price on the vehicle, instead of just giving me the number to consider I was sat down at one of the sales desk inside and asked for some information, name, contact number ect., all of which I had no problem, then I was asked to sign a additional form, I specifically communicated to the salesman this question-and gt; and quot;is this a authorization form to run a credit checkand quot;, the salesman said ABSOLUTELY NOT, we don't work like that, that comes later he said. Then I explained to the salesman that I was trying to get a mortgage loan and could have no new inquiries into my credit during that process PERIOD, this is very very important I said. (I still at this point had no dollar amount from the dealership for the purchase price of the truck I was looking at) He looked me in the eye and said to me they would NOT be pulling my credit score, then he left with the information I gave him and PULLED my credit report/score. (found that out next day after a credit monitoring alert) Only after that, I was brought the price of the truck I wanted to buy. (Since I have a high score, that number I have no doubt in my opinion influenced the sale price of the truck I was looking at purchasing substantially raising it in my opinion). What Courtesy Ford did may be legal, lying directly to a customer by a someone employed and acting on behalf of the dealership about forms they are signing and their intent is probably lawful; after all at the end of the day I did sign them, it does not make those business practices ethical or right in my opinion, it just further reinforces the image most people have about car sales dealers, that they will do anything however revolting and dishonest to make a couple of extra bucks. I will tell everyone I know about my experience at Courtesy Ford, and the irony of it all is I was going to purchase that truck the next day by writing a check for the full amount.

I purchased my car at this dealership because of the straight forward way they handled the entire shopping and negotiating experience. I had looked at another local Lincoln dealership and they tried to sell me a 2011 vehicle for as much as I ended up spending on my 2012, even after we showed them that the blue book value on the 2011 was substantially less. Courtesy Ford was refreshing to deal with. No high pressure sales people, and no passing you off to another person to "close the sale". It was all above board, open and honest. My sales person, Ammie Jose, gave me her cell number and told me to call any time I had a question or problem. She also introduced me to my service advisor, Josh Martin. I have had to go to the dealership twice since November, and Josh couldn't have taken better care of me. The first trip was to fix my fog lights which weren't illuminating anything I could see. I brought the car to a Ford dealership closer to my home and they told me the lights were in a fixed position and that is how they were supposed to work. Now I know that my car is a Lincoln and that dealership doesn't carry Lincoln, but the Ford Edge is a stripped down version of the Lincoln MKX, so the fog lights are the same. The Ford dealer should have been able to fix it. Josh said he didn't think that the fog lights were in a fixed position, and when I picked up my car the lights had been realigned. Josh said the alignment was way off. I also was having a problem with the My Lincoln Touch system which included my phone, navigation, and backup camera. Sometimes the system would reboot itsel for no reason, sometimes the navigation wouldn't work, and sometimes the backup camera wouldn't come on. Ford knew about these problems and was working on a new software release, but Josh wanted to help me until the new version was available. He did a complete system reset which helped some of his customers, and told me to come back if that didn't fix the problem. Then he reviewed with me anything on the car that I didn't understand or was having trouble with, and on that car there are a lot of options and gadgets. He also arranged for me to have a car to use so I wouldn't have to wait around. I highly recommend Ammie, Josh, and Courtesy Ford.
Description of Work: November 11, 2011 I purchased a Lincoln MKX from this dealership. Since then they have been taking care of any issues that come up.

I wasn't really looking to buy a new vehicle unless I could get a great deal, great interest rate and full trade in value for my current vehicle. I started (as I usually do) with internet negotiations. The sticker price was $20,800, but this being the last day of the month they were wheeling and dealing. My sales rep, Aimme, was ve3ry up front. First we negotiated the price- and it stayed the same when I drove in. When I got there we had to negotiate the interest rate (I wanted 2% and ended up with that, but I had to dicker a bit). They also weren't initially willing to give me what I felt (based on internet research) was a fair trade in value for my vehicle, l but I held firm and they eventually agreed- but it was a painless negotiation as I knew I was being reasonable. But what I liked best was that I dealt with the same person all the way through. I hate being handed off to some shark closer. I usually walk away when that happens. But I stayed with Aimme and all went pretty darn smooth and I got 20% off sticker and a 2% loan. Who could ask for more?

The transmission was slipping, so they did a few things to help it out. It was low on transmission fluid. I think it still needs to be tweaked. They don’t just go in and say that I need to get all this work done but try to find things that don’t cost a lot of money; they try to eliminate things first. The transmission has been a little bit better. They are great, and true to their name, they are very courteous. They are really nice when I call or when I come in. They take real good care of me. They do not overcharge but just do the work that needs to be done. I would rate them highly. I have used them for years and would continue to use them in the future.

When I called the dealership and informed them of what had occurred, the response was cold. One service person told me that I should have had the water pump changed. What I should do is never use their service again.
Description of Work: The car was running poorly, I needed a mass air flow sensor replaced, while the car was in the shop I asked to have the timing belt replaced and water pump. It is normal to replace the water pump at time of timing belt change according to previous ford dealership experience. The timing belt was changed and they stated the water pump did not need to be done. A week later the water pump failed while I was out of town and it ended up costing me another $750.00 dollars that could have been avoided. Cost at time of timing belt change would have been about 50.00.

It all went well except that they missed replacing the windshield wipers. I've been taking the car here for years and I feel like the service isn't quite as stellar as it was a few years ago. For example, they used to do a followup call to make sure you were happy with the work, and when they told me the car was ready for pickup they didn't mention that they were closing early that day for a party. Fortunately I spotted a salesman outside and he rousted up someone to open up the service department so that I could get my car and not have a wasted cab ride.
Description of Work: They performed a 60,000 mile maintenance service which included checking lights, signals, belts, hoses, windshield, battery, brake system, drive axle boots, drive shaft, cooling system, exhaust system, oil and fluids, shocks, steering, and tires. They performed a quick lube, flushed the cooling system, replaced the battery, air and fuel filters.

We were able to bring in our car the next day, and they were hoping to have it done by that evening, but it took until about noon the next day. When I called at 1:00, they said they had forgotten to do the lube and filter work, but it would only be another half an hour. So they sent the shuttle for me, which was very clean and had a nice driver, and after a few minutes wait I took the car home. The brakes were very much improved!
