We requested an appointment for Friday on Tuesday for a kitchen sink install as my husband had broken the handle off the faucet and we have been without the use of running water in our kitchen for a week. The dispatcher said they had time to come on Friday so my husband took off from work. We requested morning and was given an arrival window of 10-12 noon. Fast forward to today we receive a text at 7:41 noting a plumber had called out sick and they needed to adjust our window to 1-3pm, ok we were able to accommodate this request. Employees call out sick, understandable. Fast forward to 2:27pm and we receive another text noting they received an emergency job and are not able to come today. I call their office and the dispatcher apologizes and states "We prioritize families with small children" as to the reasoning why they chose another job over ours. Not once did the dispatcher (Hannah) ask if I had a small child - I do, under 2 years old. So does that put me at the top of the list now? Very disappointed with the service and I recommend hiring another company that will be able to come out and provide services. We scheduled with Roto-Rooter for same day service, they are coming within the hour of calling - and offer coupons for same day service. I would have loved to give my business to a smaller self-start up however I was not given the chance. Consider this lesson learned.

Huge shout out to Cornel's Plumbing for removing and replacing a 40 gallon water heater in the very tight-spaced attic of my Orenco Gardens (Arbor) townhome. Our builder did not create adequate attic ceiling access for tank removal and install. Cornel's was the only one out of 6 plumbing contractors I contacted who came up with a feasible solution and was willing to tackle this difficult job at a reasonable price. Mario and his team were total professionals and did an amazing job without fuss or complaint, despite the terrible summer heat in the attic. Kudos to Cornel's! Would definitely use them again for other plumbing needs.

Repipe whole house and install new bath and water heater

I don’t usually bother to leave reviews, but I guess this deserves one. November 4th I tried calling but got a voicemail asking to fill out a form on the website for a quote. I filled out the form with all the details but learned after several emails that they don't give quotes online nor provide hourly pricing. ...6 separate contact events and 4 days later I finally had an appointment scheduled with these guys, where they’re going to charge me $30 for an estimate on the cost to replace a leaking shower valve cartridge, in about two and half weeks... So here we are two and a half weeks later, on the day before Thanksgiving and I’m at home from work for this 8am appointment, and they no-show no-call me. I call them and leave a voicemail “where are you”? I email them “where are you”... I get this trite email response “oh you didn’t re-confirm the appointment, but we can schedule a new one for you.” No apology, no phone call, just another inane email. Are you serious? It took multiple emails took book this appointment and then you wanted me to infer that you further wanted me to again confirm the appointment I requested?? - Yes I got your later text and call now that I've made it clear I'm already upset, why didn't you just call me from the start with the contact information I provided on your requested form? I see all the other reviews and hope this is just some outlier experience, because most of us just don’t have time for this kind of faffery and lack of customer service. I'll be finding a plumber who can provide an estimate, a scheduled visit date, and show up on time, without the absurd email back and forth and total waste of my time.

We called Cornel because our prior plumber apparently retired. Cornel was very responsive to our initial contact with him - offered to come out between jobs that he had already had scheduled. He arrived promptly and went straight to work. He diagnosed the issue immediately and went straight to work. We had bought a new faucet and before we could go and retrieve it to ask if Cornel could install it for us, he was nearly complete with the repair work, He gladly said that he would install the new faucet for us as well. The work was done professionally, timely, clean and priced reasonably. Aside from all of the great work, Cornel is a super and genuinely nice individual - a really good guy!!! We will be using Cornel's Plumbing for all of our future needs and would recommend him to anyone.

Great! Everything was done perfectly

Short summary: it went great. We needed a garbage disposal replacement, and Cornel quoted us a competitive flat rate for providing/installing a new unit and disposing of the old one. On the day of, he was quick and obviously knew what he was doing. The old unit was quickly removed and the new installed. The one problem which came up during this was regarding our piping under the sink. It was poorly done prior to us buying the house, and I had to "fix" a leak previously because the pipes didn't line up right and would easily slip apart. He saw this and explained that we would need to have this repiped in order to do the job properly. Totally understood and we gave permission for the additional work. The end result: everything under our sink was cleanly repiped. It looks very nice and professional compared to what we had before. He also properly hooked up our dishwasher drainage since Best Buy hooked it up in an unusual way. I feared the cost of the extra work, but in our case it was only an extra $55 to have things redone, and redone well! Plus, I don't have to worry about having yet another leak because of the bad piping from before. I would be quite pleased to work with Cornel in the future. Thanks!

Mario and Cornel worked me into their busy schedule. They were perfect! They got right to work and fixed all the problems. They were fastidious and double checked that everything was working. I could not be happier!

Calls to other plumbers were a turnoff in that there was no price estimate and vague answers to a service date. Cornel was very straight forward in trying to set a service time. He actually called the next day and came out to fix our problem. The job was easier than I had described so Cornel actually gave me a price lower than his estimate. I liked him and believe him to be capable of any plumbing situation I might present to him.

Very responsive both times they were here. Unfortunately for us, repair was impractical and so replacement is needed.

We can only echo the glowing reviews of Cornel's Plumbing. Cornel made the housecall the same day contacted. He quickly determined the problem and corrected the situation, all the while providing tips on how to keep our garbage disposal working smoothly. He was neat, very friendly, knowledgeable and very reasonable.

Cornel went out of his way to provide prompt response, coming a day earlier than planned after calling to confirm. The problem was easily addressed with his knowledge and experience even though the valve is 50 years old. It felt good to work directly with a self-employed plumber. I will call him next time work is needed.

Cornel and his son arrived at my front door exactly at the time they said they would. They were friendly and courteous and professional. They installed my faucet and cleaned up thoroughly when they were done. They were leaving exactly one hour after they arrived. I was delighted with their service and would use them again. Plumber arrived, surveyed the disposal leak and then removed disposal from sink, cleaned flange and associated parts and re-installed and tested. Still leaking so he then removed disposal a second time and installed new flange with disposal and re-tested. No leaks ... determined problem was that original flange that came with disposal appears to be slightly warped causing the leak. Plumber cleaned up area, was paid and indicated I should call back should leak reappear. I doubt it will ...

Did a great job especially on the drain that was full of grease.

He was prompt and courteous. Called as well as texted. My work schedule is wonky but he got here asap and did an awesome job. Gave me advice on routine maintenance. I will be using this plumber in the future for sure!!!

I could not have asked for a better experience. The work was done exactly as promised, when promised, for the price quoted. The work area was left clean. Would definitely hire again. Cornel and Mario were kind and professional.

Corneliu and Mario, father and son team, were great! They had what they needed to replace the garbage disposal with them. Although they originally thought that the appointment would be in the afternoon, after realizing that they were in the area already, we were able to get the appointment done immediately, They were both extremely nice and comfortable to work with. They worked well with each other and were professional all they way. I thought the cost was fair and they were done in less than an hour. Great team to work with for whatever your plumbing needs may be!

I found my plumber! After calling 10 plumbers, getting only two call-backs and schedules that were out 2-3 weeks, Cornel responded and said I lived in his general area and that he would swing by on his way home at 5pm. He was nice, prompt, punctual, professional and neat. Five Stars all the way! Got everything done in less than an hour!

This man and his son are 5 star performers. Very meticulous but not a minute wasted. Don't waste time calling the others. If you want a job done in a timely fashion in the manner of the old school professional, Cornel's Plumbing is the place to go.

Cornel was busy on another job when I called, but offered to come by late that afternoon on his way home from the other job. He called about 5:45 PM to say that he could be at my house in 40-45 minutes if I still wanted him that evening. I agreed, and he stopped by and did the job before going on home. He was very professional about it, and did a good job.
