They were slow to respond to our quote request: They said they would get back to us within a work week but did not. I then called and got no answer from the receptionist but received a quote the day after my followup call. I called back that same day with four questions about the quote and also sent them the same questions by email. There has been no response to my call/email so I went with a competitor who was much more responsive but did a better job than Coast had done previously (though they were substantially more expensive).

Terrible job. Terrible service. Terrible product. I explained prior to the bid that i wanted my driveway done in the same manner as an adjacent county road that was recently paved. The person making the bid said they had been involved in paving the aforesaid road so he knew what I was talking about. At the area abutting the gravel parking area the new asphalt was crumbling before the rest of the paving was completed. I tried to reasonably negotiate with the person running the job. He was so rude and argumentative I walked away and had my general contractor finish negotiating. I've never had that experience working with many workmen and companies over the years. After complaining how much work it would take to do the job right he finally redid that part of the job. When the rest of the job was completed although the job didn't look right and the gravel was not settling into the mix I made the mistake of immediately paying. The company said it would take awhile to dry and cure. When it did not they said I should pay more money to put a seal coat on it. That looked good initially but never dried. The area that was meant for wheel chair access was uneven and water pooled and never drained toward the drains. The two road bumps I had put in the road to divert water from the house have been crumbling ever since installation. But worst of all that over the next year and a half after the so-called seal coat the road never properly dried and anytime my golden retriever/lab mix lay on the road she would come home with nasty and toxic tar and gravel mixed into her coat. I set up appointments as well as calls to get the problems resolved without success. I would strongly suggest no one use this company unless it is under new management. I am in the process of hiring a new asphalt contractor this summer to redo this very inferior and very expensive botched job.

They did a good job.

They were really great! They negotiated their bid. They were also very good about calling me back and coming when they said they would. The whole crew came in and did it right away. They knew what they were doing. The guy that was the project lead was very helpful and lined things out. They gave us some recommendations that no one had thought about before.

This was a totally positive experience. It was pleasant to work with these professionals. They were responsive and careful as there were about 20 people working on this project at the same time.

Twice I called this company and only once did they return my call. They scheduled an appointment to come out "sometime next week". It has been 3 weeks now and I have again called, still no answer.

As facilities manager, I deal with more than 40-50 vendors and contractors on a regular basis and none is more professional or offers better service and results than Coast Pavement Services. Every employee I've dealt with at Coast is friendly and knowledgeable. They ask good questions and are very service oriented. Best of all, they care about their work and wanted me to be satisfied. They even came out once to give me advice on a water drainage issue (having to do with our parking lot) knowing they wouldn't likely be doing the work. I got numerous comments from my employees and vendors about how good the lot now looks. In the future when I have pavement and/or concrete related projects, I wouldn't hesitate to call Coast Pavement Services for help.
