Clean Affinity

I had to re-clean everything. The floors they went over? I had to clean them afterward. The cabinets and other surfaces they wiped down? I had to clean those as well. They seemed to be ticking the boxes of “doing” tasks, without having an internal sense of when something is actually complete. When they started to leave at 10:00, I pointed out that they didn’t start working until 8:15, so they hadn’t made it to 2 hours. I thought they would be there for 2.5 hours. They said the job was billed at over 5 hours (at least 2.5 hours each) but they had the okay to leave when they were done. Here’s the thing, if they actually had been done or had done a good job, I wouldn’t have had a problem with them leaving early, because people should get paid for performance and not necessarily for hours, but they were abusing the system by telling themselves that they had performed and completed the job. After they left, I tried to remember if I had ever gotten less value per dollar from a service.

They are flexible in schedules, when our guests's schedules need them to come later. The crew keeps in good contact when things go awry (think ice -storms in January). They follow up is there are problems. Very great team to work with.

We are big fans of The Green Clean Queen! They cleaned our home for almost three years when we lived in Portland, and continue to clean our small business, Cascadia Pilates & CoreAlign, every week. Over the years, I was again and again impressed with their professionalism, thoroughness, and attention to detail. Several different team members cleaned for us over the years, and I found them all to be courteous, enthusiastic, and engaging. We have friendly (at times, overly friendly!) dogs at home, and the cleaners were great with them. The house always sparkled after a visit. Our place of business, where they also clean, is always spiffed up and ready for clients after they are here. I love that they use cleaning products that are gentle on us, our pets, and the environment -- and still effective at getting the cleaning job done! I wouldn't use anyone else in Portland!
