I was searching for nice furniture at the best price. After looking at about 20 furniture stores, I found City Liquidators on-line and decided to give them a try. If you're willing to look through 3 floors of stuff in an old downtown warehouse, you can find some great deals. I saw the same furniture at retail stores for much higher prices. The couch we ended up buying was made in the USA and cost $1,000 less than the same couch made by the same company for Pottery Barn. David on the 3rd floor really knew his merchandise. Also, every employee we worked with was courteous - absolutely no high pressure sales people like you run into at typical furniture stores. Be prepared to pay for items on each floor separately. You can't pay for things you found on the first floor on the third or second and vice versa. And, be sure to carefully inspect your items for scratches, etc. before paying. They'll wrap your items really well and load them for you, but after that you're pretty much on your own.
Description of Work: HUGE warehouse FULL of everything from quirky antiques to fine furniture. First floor is like a swap meet with a hodge podge of everything from knick knacks and kitchen supplies to used office furniture and bizarre antiques (like an old barber's chair). Second and third floors are FILLED to the rafters with furniture and some antiques. This is not an Ethan Allen type furniture store. You've got to wade through lots of stuff to find your treasure, but your bank account will thank you. Wear comfortable shoes and be prepared to spend a few hours if you want to walk through the whole place. There's another warehouse across the street full of used items. We didn't have time to check it out. Parking was convenient and free. Take a truck - you're going to need it!
