Description of Work: Service call to remove and replace a furnace blower motor. OWNER CAME BACK 9/4/14 and we discussed the pricing discrepancy. Alignment was reached and I have amended my earlier report.

Description of Work: They serviced our furnace.

Description of Work: Had no heat and relatives coming for a visit. Called for service. CD replaced a control module on the furnace and had us up and running with parts he has on his truck. He also did a general tuneup/filter change.

Description of Work: C D has done our yearly furnace check for five years.

Description of Work: No heat in house. Called Johnson. He came as soon as possible. Very knowledgeable, courteous, clean, honest.

Description of Work: I recently used C. D. Johnson Furnace Service, Inc. based out of Tigard, Oregon 97223. I am a realtor and was representing the buyer in purchasing a bank owned property. We needed a furnace inspected and repairs were ordered. Because the costs of the repairs exceeded the maximum amount of $500, it came to $600, the seller (a bank) requested that the contractor submit his w-9 with his invoice to be paid. Since C.D. sent the invoice to my office without a cover sheet it was not received in a timely fashion. He said that was not his problem. Mr. Johnson was extremely rude and unprofessional in the way he responded to the listing agent's inquiry as to how to get this w-9. He was verbally abusive on the phone and wouldn't take the time to help us get the phone number of the accountant who had this information. He said he was at a job site and couldn't be bothered to help us. He insisted we mail him our request and he would get around to it. He was so rude to the listing agent's assistant that she refused to speak to him ever again. I was forced to call him and endure a lengthy amount of verbal abuse just to learn that he would not repeat any information since he already gave it out once. I had to call the other agent back to get the address of his accountant, to call her and request help getting this document. I did a reverse white page search to get the accountant's number. She went on and on about how nice C. D. was and what good work he does. I asked her to help us get him paid for his work. Then, the accountant I spoke with went off on a rant spouting tax laws to me about how she can't give me that paper. She refused to get a pencil to take notes about my information to even verify my identity, and wouldn't take down my phone number or fax number to get me the document once C. D. gave her permission to do so. I called back C. D. to inform him that he just needs to call the accountant to give her permission to release the w-9. He also refused to call her today after I spoke with him, but that he might get around to it tomorrow. Neither C. D. or the accountant cared that this was to help him get paid, and that this delay could cause a delay in closing my transaction. When I hired C.D. for this job I informed him it was a bank seller so if he didn't want to deal with how they pay contractors, he could have told me then and I would have used a different company. The accountant suggested the listing agent wait to be sued by her client C.D. to get payment. I have been a member of Angies List for a few years, and this is the first time I have felt the need to warn others about a rude company.

Description of Work: C.D. Johnson did a service call when my oil furnace shut down this winter. He inspected it, repaired it, and replaced several parts, and got it working again.
