I dropped off the microwave for repair - neither convection nor microwave were heating. Repair was completed in a few days.

It was easy to find the shop, the mixer works even better than it did before I messed it up, and the mixer was ready as promised. The receptionist was friendly, and the whole experience was positive.
Description of Work: My beloved 6 qt. Kitchen Aid Mixer stopped working because I put the bowl in incorrectly. I was devastated. Cascade Electronics called me within 24 hours, gave me an estimate, and had it repaired three days later.

Who knew it could take two full months for an easy repair? I will give you the short version: these people will not call you back, will not keep your appointments, and will not show up with the parts needed for the repairs. While the repair guy was fine, getting him out there was a trial. If you have to use them (for example, if you made the mistake of buying Frigidaire appliances and have to use them for the warranty work) then you will have to bulldog the office to get it done.

Great! It is hard to find someone to service Daewoo appliances. They were pleasant , knowledgeable and prompt. They are pretty far away from where I live, but I would go back. They have used small appliances for sale that I would feel comfortable purchasing

Fixed the Viking food processor after 2 months. Had to return it after getting it home and notifying them that it did not work. I don't know if they had worked on it but they indicated that they had. Returned it to the repair shop, it was repaired two weeks later. I asked them to plug it in to try it before I took it home the second time. It worked, total time, nearly two months because I didn't return the non working machine immediately. Nice people, not good about calling. It is difficult to find small appliance repair people and I would use them again but certainly check the appliance before leaving the store with the and quot;repairedand quot; appliance.
Description of Work: Viking food processor taken in for repair, $35. to look at it. Did not get it back for an entire month. Paid an additional $40. for repair. Brought it home to Camas, tried the switch, the reason for the repair, same as when I took it in (Not Working) Took it all the way back to Portland, left it for another two weeks, made another trip to Portland to pick it up and return home, 40 miles round trip each time. This time it worked .

Updated review: from 12/11/13. Took my Kitchen Aid food processor in for a repair estimate on 11/21. I was charged a 35 dollar nonrefundable estimate fee and told they were 1 week out. After hearing nothing, I called on 12/10. They spent 10 minutes with me on hold trying to locate my food processor/estimate. I have an unusual last name and I had the estimate number right in front of me. When the girl came back on the phone, she said they were waiting for an estimate on the part to fix it and someone would get back to me in and quot;a day or soand quot;. So I waited. After hearing nothing, I called on12/16/13 and after spending 5 minutes on hold, the girl could not find the estimate, She did not have any information and the technician wouldn't be in until after 10 am. She took my number and assured me that someone would get in touch with me and quot;first thingand quot;. It is now 11 am and I have heard nothing. I finally went down to the location. They had trouble locating my machine. Evidently, there are NO PARTS for a Kitchenaid Food Processor, as they are made in China now and are disposable.... $399.00 worth of disposable. The technician told me he had hunted high and low for a part to fix it and come up empty. So I have revised my review. They get C's for trying and an F for communication skills. I would take something there again, because I think they really did try, but I would call a lot. I guess my problem is really with KitchenAid, not these people. But they should communicate better.

They did not do a good job communicating expectations on timing. When I called 2 weeks after dropping it off, they said "oh we just got to it and it will be an additional $20 to fix" (on top of the $15 "examination fee"). Guess I feel OK about not junking the thing for a minor issue, but $35 also feels a little steep for a replacement cord, especially after 2 weeks of no communication.
Description of Work: Meh. They did repair the cord on my iron, and it seems to work now. Cost about 70% of the price of a replacement iron, but that's the state of global commerce for ya.

Clearly explained the procedure, what it would cost, and were punctual with pick/up and phone calls concerning problem.
Description of Work: Four year old Samsung 46" LCD TV needed repair. Picked up TV for $35 and charged $75 to diagnosis problem, which would have been subtracted from overall bill had we decided it was worth fixing. Decided to buy a new TV instead since the total repair would have been $475.00.

Brought our Kitchen Aid mixer here for repair a year and a half ago. Mixer had been in storage for nearly 8 of those months so it has only been used 10 times. Price on the repair was $235.00. New mixer was $400 but the tech told me that we would have the same issue with a new mixer as Kitchen Aid used and quot;plastic gearsand quot; and he would replace with metal. He assured us this would give us a much more reliable mixer over a new one. We could have bought the smaller Kitchen Aid at Costco for $250.00. Bit the bullet, had them repair it and low and behold, same issue in less than 10 uses. Called them today and was told we were past the 30 day warranty and would need to pay them another bench charge if we wanted them to look at it. Very frustrated since mixer has only seen light use since repair and we were leaning toward just buying a new one. Avoid this company. The least they could have done was thrown it back on the bench for a test.

Description of Work: I have a fancy stacked Swedish washer dryer set. The washer temperature control knob was broken. The poor guy had to unstack the dryer, take the top of the waher remove and replace the knob, then restack the dryer. Classic easy ten minute job, with 30 minutes of heavy work to get it done.. As professional as it gets. Fast, prompt, on budget and successful.

I was able to get and appointment a few days after my call. Mike came out to look at the washer and spent about half an hour searching for the source of a leak - there was a crack in the housing on the inside of the machine where the hot and cold water supplies attach. Mike immediately ordered a replacement part and made sure to get a complete replacement part, which only cost about $4 more than a less complete part, which he thought would make for a better fix. It took a few weeks to get the part in stock, but the scheduler called to make an appointment as soon as they knew when the part would be arriving. Luckily the leaking was minor, so I was able to use the washer in the interim, as long as I turned of the water supply when it was not in use. Once the part was in hand it took less than half an hour to get my washer back to operating leak-free. I will certainly call Cascade Electronics with any future appliance problems.
Description of Work: Diagnosed the source of a leak in my front-loading washing machine, ordered a replacement part and installed the part when it arrived. The basic service call was $95 for up to an hour of labor, and the part needed cost about $35.

They called me the next day, told me what the problem was and how much it would cost. Promised to call me as soon as done, which they did. Cost less than I had expected and everyone I talked to was friendly and professional. I will definitely use them again. They also had some good used repaired equipment that were definite bargains.
Description of Work: Older microwave convection oven stopped functioning. Described the problem and was told they felt they could fix it, but could not promise until they opened it up. Told me most common problems and approximate prices. Also told me estimate was free . Took it in expecting to pick up a week or so later. They found a burned out switch, replace it and I picked up the unit 3 days after dropping it off.

My dishwasher was making a horrid noise, and i was afraid it was going to die. Mike arrived on the dot, he took time to diagnose the problem and also provided advice on how to minimize the problem. He was clearly knowledgeable about all of my appliances--he recommended a product to decrease the noise and even sent me samples. Would definitely use them again.

They did a great job. I am not sure how much they charged us exactly but, it must be around a couple of 100 dollars. We liked their punctuality. They showed up on time. They had known what the problem was and they fixed it pretty much in one sitting. They did exactly what we wanted them to do. The quality of the work was good, and the dish washer is still working. We will definitely use them again in the future.

Except for getting back to us in a timely manner, the services Cascade Electronics provided was very adequate.
Description of Work: I took my Coffee Mate and Cuisenart in to be repaired and made a deposit of $35. After three weeks I called Cascade Electronics to see how my appliances were doing and a date for finishing. The appliances were sitting there waiting to be picked up, but no one called to tell me they were finished. The CoffeeMate only needed a flushing, so no more money was owed for that, and only a small repair for the Cuisenart for an additional $20.00.
