We began working with Rob Ingram and Carriage House Construction about 7 years ago. Since that time, we've hired him for a full kitchen remodel, 2 bathroom remodels, a basement remodel, re-roofing, interior painting, and currently for a full exterior paint job. In the fall he will be managing the project of tearing out our old deck and replacing it it with patios as well as a major and beautiful landscape redesign. There are many reasons we would never think of calling anyone else for a home improvement. He, his employee Davy (yay, Davy!) and all his subcontractors are extremely professional, very skilled and detail-oriented, and really nice to work with. Rob is very conscientious about quality of the work. He inspects all the subcontractors' work, usually at the end of each day, identifies any issues, and ensures that any flaws he finds are addressed. When problems or misunderstandings arise, I can always email or call Rob. He addresses the issues immediately and in a very professional manner, with no drama. The quality of his subcontractors also makes it easy for me to talk to them about any modifications that need to be made. And everybody is fantastic about cleaning up at the end of the day, as well as being totally respectful of how their work is impacting our lives. This includes putting up plastic barriers between the work areas and the rest of the house and using fans and ventilation. We also respect and trust both Rob's professional opinions. He will let us know when they find a structural problem that we're unaware of (like the rot in the back corner of the garage :-( ). Rob also steers us away from construction that he feels is unnecessary. They have great ideas for solutions, and they are also great about working collaboratively with our design consultant and landscape designer. And Davy does great tile! Can't recommend this company enough.
