I had selected some glass tile to use as the backsplash in my kitchen. Chris began by preparing the substrate where it needed work. The tile was to be installed on a concrete wall that had a large depression that needed to be infilled. Chris filled in the depression, cut and installed the tile, installed the grout, and sealed they system. As expected, Chris did an excellent job. The tile I selected is very difficult to work with, but Chris made all the cuts very cleanly. It looks incredible and every time I have shown my kitchen to anyone, the first thing they comment on is how great the tile looks. It took several trips to complete the work due to the installation process, and Chris was very accommodating and efficient with his time. I also asked Chris to help me install some upper cabinet shelving. This included attaching them to a concrete wall. Chris was very helpful with this as well and the shelving went up easily. We were able to securely attach them to the concrete and to a stud wall and we were even able to fix a measuring mistake I made during the layout process. With the tile and shelving install, I really appreciate Chris's honesty and up front nature about the job and about any potential challenges and solutions. This made me feel comfortable with the process and it provided clarity to the expectations.

Chris was able to visit the site and give me a very thorough and honest assessment of the scope of work, the best way to go about doing the work, and the cost. He started work a few days later and I thought he did an excellent, professional job. After I had removed the existing cabinets, the back wall of the kitchen was a complete mess with left over tile, large gouges, and other remnants of the cabinets. Chris suggested cleaning up the back wall and then adding a new layer of drywall over it. This was a great choice because it looks excellent now that it is done. Before Chris started work, I was feeling a little overwhelmed by what I had started, but after the new layer of drywall was in place I really could see my kitchen design starting to come through nicely. The subfloor was filled in and was in great shape for the cabinet and floor installation. The drywall patches were very smooth and after I painted over them you can't even tell they were there. I was very happy with Chris and his work. I highly recommend C. Harold Construction for his professionalism, skill, and positive attitude. I would definitely contact him again for any future work.
