Blue Sky Tree Care

What an amazing skilled crew. They were all so informed and took the time to let me know all the details of the work. They showed me areas to head off from possible splits or decay and took additional weight off of over burdened limbs. The attention to detail and clean up was incredible! I had put this project off for so many years and sustained tree limb damage to my house, yard and even neighbors yards. This crew corrected years and years of poor maintenance including a hazard in my neighbors yard!!. Again the clean up was meticulous! The entire crew is very professional and polite and in my experience over preformed to get the job done to their own high standards! WOW. Will use them again and refer to all my contraction clients.

Our neighbor had an enormous locust tree, at least 50' tall but maybe taller than that, that was dropping huge branches on and near our house, their house, and the house of a 3rd neighbor who had small children that played in the yard where branches were falling. The tree was also on a steep slope without much room for roots, so there was the fear that the tree would simply fall over onto one of the houses or onto the children. The family that owned the tree could not afford to pay what it would take to remove it and was not able to make the arrangements. So the three households agreed to split the cost of the removal three ways. I called several companies that were A-rated on Angie's List. The companies gave similar bids but Blue Sky was on the low end. Blue Sky was also easiest to deal with and they were able to come out and do the work much sooner than the other companies. It was a tricky situation because the actual homeowner (with the tree) had dementia, but undiagnosed, so other family members had to get him to approve the removal of the tree. For one thing or another there were MANY delays and Blue Sky was really nice about having to wait for things to resolve. There were also tricky things about the removal itself--there were power lines in the way and no room below the tree to work. Once started, Blue Sky took the tree down in a few days, very professionally and carefully and without damaging the power lines or the houses. The family that owned the tree did not want to pay for stump grinding or debris removal so Blue Sky gave us a discount for not having to do those things. We were really happy with the job and would hire them again. I didn't think of taking a photo before! The first photo is the tree about 12 years earlier--it got bigger since then. The second photo is the locust already partway taken down.

Cleared up all the dead tree parts and cleaned the area very well. He was very responsive. Would use again.

I like the guy. He was very knowledgeable with what he did. He was a young guy. His price was like half what the other people charge. He was good. I have used 2 tree services in the past and their prices were expensive, and they were not any better. The work and my interaction with them were good. I will never use anybody else.

Jason was very responsive -- he was the first one out to give an estimate and even came out a second time when we wanted to add a few more items to the quote. He was friendly, personable and professional. The quoted price was very reasonable. We scheduled the work for about two weeks out. On the scheduled day, they started later than planned, around noon, due to an unforeseen emergency elsewhere. This resulted in the work going into a second day, but this was not a big deal for us. Once they got started, they made quick work of the tree/shrub removal and pruning. The large tree had been hanging over the house and garage, and it was removed safely and without any collateral damage. All debris was removed, and the driveway was left nearly spotless. Overall, we are very happy with the service, and we would use them again.

I am very pleased with the work performed. Jason & his help are professional, careful & friendly. He has done several jobs for me in the past & I have always been pleased with the work.

In general, I was happy with the work that Blue Sky/Jason did. Jason was responsive to my initial call and was able to come by shortly after I called to provide a quote. We had one hiccup early on in the process when Jason did not show up nor call for our first scheduled appointment, thus the C on Punctuality. However, subsequently he called several times to confirm our appointment. So, I'd call that an isolated mistake and not a typical course of dealings for him. Jason did the requested work in an efficient and professional manner. He did a great job cleaning up after the work was done. The final price paid was consistent with the quoted price.

He was very responsive, coming to give an estimate the same day I called. He returned the next day to do the pruning. Unfortunately, he did not cut all the branches away from the house as I had asked. Furthermore, he did a lousy job of cleaning up. Numerous clippings from the large pruning job were left around on our sidewalks, and, worse, on the roof. I could not recommend him again. If you do use him, be very clear what you expect to be done and that you expect him to clean up thoroughly.

Jason arrived to bid the project in the afternoon of my morning call requesting a quote. He scheduled the work two days later and completed the work to my satisfaction. He did a great job of cleanup after the work was done. I would utilize his tree service again.

Brought a stump grinder machine into our small backyard and tore it up so it was a muddy mess and remained that way for months. Very disappointed.

Jason responded with an estimate quickly, kept in touch when he needed to re-schedule, and made it a priority to fit it into his schedule right away. My tree looks beautiful and healthy.

The 40 ft. maple was brought down without damaging anything surrounding the tree. Trimming of other trees was done nicely, and limbs disposed of. The work was done quickly just as estimated and discussed. They provided the names of people to grind the stump and to take away the wood from the maple tree. I was very pleased with their level of professionalism.

Jason visited to provide an estimate within a day or two of me contacting him. He was patient & knowledgable when explaining how they'd handle the job, and why. Once I decided to go with Blue Sky, they scheduled the job for a couple of days later. They showed up, talked to me in more detail about the tree, and took care of it quickly. I feel good about choosing Blue Sky and would hire them again.

We are VERY pleased with Jason's pruning job he did for our apple, birch, hazelnut and crab apple trees. He provided a helpful map of our yard that indicated exactly what trees he would work on, along with details and estimate. He was prompt, efficient and easy to work with. His cleanup was so meticulous, you would never know someone had been there, except for the pruning cuts. We will definitely use Jason in the future.

When first contacted, I received a reply call and a visit from Roger, who was helping out the head of Blue Sky, as they were in the midst of a busy tree service season. The contract and agreement was settled on fairly promptly, but I didn't have a crew work on pruning my very tall deodar cedar for over a month - Blue Sky's very busy schedule and bad weather problems(the east wind was too strong one time to prune safely) delayed the work. But this really couldn't be avoided, and when the crew finally came, they worked quickly but carefully and cleaned and chipped up plant debris very well. I was especially worried about this as the crew had to put the bucket truck on my neighbor's lawn in order to prune some limbs, and I wanted a good job done to keep good relations with my neighbor. As mentioned limbs near power/cable lines were not pruned for safety reasons, but this part of the contract was refunded promptly. Overall I was very pleased with the job when Blue Sky could finally make it out to my place, and their busy schedule I attribute to a successful reputation.

The estimate was given in writing with a detailed description and a sketch of the property, which left no confusion as to what I needed to have done. They came to do the job when they said they would and it was very obvious that they knew exactly what they were doing and how to go about it, very efficient. I must be frank, contracting things to be done around the home today, is scary at best. I have had some horrible experiences, but this was definetly not one of them. If all contractors operated in this manner, they would have more work then they could shake a stick at, no pun intended.

we recieved our quote promptly and in person. Blue Sky was able to perform the quote over the Labor Day week end! The crew arrived for work Tuesday Sept 4th ready for work. Three of the trees were located in a planter box style of a retaining wall on a fairly busy street with business'e on both sides of the house. The trees were down and gone within the hour! Blue Sky rolled their large stump grinding machine in to place straddling the walls of the retaining wall and removed the tree stumps. This was not an easy location to do this, but Blue Sky are very skilled and made it "look" easy. Blue Sky also worked with my neighbor and agreed to do some limb removal for her as well. Both my neighbor and myself were dealt with courteously and promptly. All tree debris was removed and the job site was left looking very clean.I will with out a doubt use this company again, and I am happy to reccomend them to anyone needing tree removal or pruning

The work went very well. Jason brought two workers with him and they worked for about 3 - 4 hours. My yard is small and the area around the walnut was very tight. Jason had to get up into the top of my walnut tree to prune two good sized limbs. He got up there using ropes and a harness and really knew what he was doing. He never lost his concentration and maintained his safety and the safety of me and his crew on the ground. Jason had to lower the limbs down using ropes and carefully do all the cutting with a chain saw while harnessed in the tree. They fully respected my request to be careful of my plants and my honey bee hive. The 3 men worked well together, were very professional and friendly. I would highly recommend Blue Sky and will use them again for sure.

Excellent. I was very impressed with this company. I had first called a different tree company with good reviews but was told the estimate alone would be about 3 weeks out. I was hoping for the following 7-10 days, but almost a month for just an estimate seemed a little extreme. When I called Blue Sky Tree Care, I received a call back that day from Roger who said he could make it out the same day. When he arrived, he was friendly and personable and very knowledgeable about the trees. He provided a detailed estimate with computer graphics of the property site and the trees involved. The price was exceptional. I could not believe they could do all the work they did for that price. I was going to get additional bids, but really liked the company and the price so hired them. They arrived on time and got right to work. They were very efficient and cleaned up everything nicely before they left.

Got back to us right away after we made contact. Came out for a free estimate. The estimator was very friendly. Once we hired them for the job, it was scheduled within a few days. A crew of three arrived, one of whom had to go way up in the trees. The job took a couple of hours and was done well. Smaller branches were thrown into open area behind our home, while the larger ones were cut up for use as firewood. We did a lot of clean up ourselves afterwards, as agreed. A bird bath was damaged (cracked) in the process. Perhaps it was our job to move it, I don't know, but it wouldn't have taken much effort on their part to move it before work began. Other than that, all went as expected and they did a great job.

It went well. The job scope changed a few times and Jason was flexible. Jason well worked with two different property owners. Jason was knowledgeable about the trees and the work. There was a little bit of miscommunication about what exactly needed to occur on one of the trees, but Jason quickly made adjustments to my satisfaction. I would use him again.

Jason and his crew were great. He responded quickly to my request for a bid, spent quite a while inspecting the trees and discussing it with his crew, and then left a detailed bid in my mailbox. The price was reasonable and competitive. I scheduled the work, and they performed it well and left the yard even cleaner than how they found it. They were professional and hardworking. I wanted some more trimmed from one tree, and Jason came out within a day to work on it. I've scheduled them to prune some additional trees in my backyard, and they were able to fit the work into their schedule within a couple days. I highly recommend them.

Jason returned my request for an estimate quickly and I received the information on the same day that I contacted them. Their price was excellent. When I decided to do the work I called them to start work the next day. Jason told me they could do the work that very day. Overall, I was pleased with the work done and the recommendations that were given regarding overall tree service.

I called Blue Sky on Tuesday morning and had a bid by end of day. The work was done the next morning. Jason is very knowledgable and truly sculpted my gangly oak tree. They worked efficiently and the clean up was meticulous. Great job!
