Clancy came promptly to our house, submitted a bid in two days. Some of the other contractors either didn't respond to calls or they took several weeks to submit a bid. Clancy's description of what he would do plus a slightly lower bid convinced us to go with him. We are totally glad we did! He not only got the concrete work done as specified he gave us suggestions for completing the deck we need for an entrance to the house. He also hauled the extra dirt to the back and helped spread it out as we wanted. He is a very nice man to work with. He came by a week later to be sure we were completely satisfied which we are. We will definitely use them for any kind of work that is within their scope.

Clancy showed up on time to our initial meeting. We discussed the job in detail and he made several suggestions on how to complete the job. Not only did we like the ideas he had, but it was cheaper than what we had planned. He took notes on the job and e-mailed us a detailed bid in just a few hours. The crew showed up on the day the job was scheduled to start and were professional and courteous. We had company coming in so we were on a tight schedule. Blue Lake worked through the weekend and completed the job two days early. The driveway come out even better than we had hoped it would and was right on budget. Clancy was on the job every day and kept us well informed of the progress. There were a couple of minor changes made along the way which we worked together to resolve. I've worked with other companies in the past that tend to make decisions for you and tell you about it later (and bill you for it). I was very happy that Clancy discussed everything with us before any work was done. Overall this was an excellent experience. I absolutely recommend this company and will be using them again on future projects!

The most difficult part of the project was the logistics. We have 5' side yard setbacks so getting equipment down to the site was a challenge. We were able to work with our neighbors and use part of their yard but the contractors still had to show great skill in maneuvering the small track hoe down between two houses and to the site without damaging structures. That being accomplished they demo'd the existing concrete patio, stairs, boathouse exterior and large boulders with great care. It was definitely a difficult and slow process. And to add to the complexity, I wanted to maintain many of the large rocks so they had to work around them, which they did. The project is nearly complete and I can say it has turned out beautiful - far exceeds our expectations! Clancy, Jeff, Walter and Mario were absolute professionals - very courteous and responsive. The subs they recommended were amazing! The project was based on an estimate and they really stayed on target. Any changes we agreed to were done after a change order was emailed to me to approve - something I've found lacking in other remodeling projects. There were no hidden surprises and we are very pleased with the outcome! I would highly recommend them for any construction or remodeling project.
