In all cases, they referred me to other plumbers (like CT Drains) who were able to fix my problems quickly. So while I haven't used their services, I trust them and would call them again for bigger plumbing issues.

We were super fortunate to have Black Cat plumbing work in our basement during our finishing project. Our goal was to add a bathroom, a laundry sink, install a new water heater, relocate clothes washer and replace water supply line. Mike and his crew were extremely professional, clean and provided innovative solutions to accommodate our 1908 home. I would highly recommend Black Cat Plumbing for all of your plumbing needs. They are responsive, punctual, courteous, clean, innovative, and they work their ***** off! I am calling them again for any future plumbing needs I might have.

Josh and his helper arrived on time and performed the hot water heater replacement with very little interruption of our water access. They did a very professional job and cleaned up the area like they'd never been here. When they ran into a glitch in the installation, they, and Mike the owner, gave us all the information we needed to make a decision. They took away our old water heater, so we didn't have to find a way to dispose of it. We would definitely recommend them and hire them again if the need arises.

From the first meeting with Mike, the owner...to the morning when Cody, Tom and Marvin got here on time...to the time the work was done...everything was excellent. The crew worked very efficiently together, and problems were solved as they arose. (Yes, you will have a surprise or two when you work with very old plumbing. These guys can handle it.) We are very happy with the final result. The team got the work done in one long day, and left our house cleaner than it was when they got there. All pipes were replaced, and new plumbing in the basement made the laundry room munch better. Cody does quality control all through, and takes you on a final tour of everything so you can see exactly what's been done. If something isn't quite right, not quite to their standards, they do it over (an undersink fitting in this case). The communication all through, from everyone, was clear and complete. A big plus: These are nice people, and the price is very fair. Thanks, Black Cat!

Black Cat was extremely responsive and knowledgeable, and went out of their way to communicate often with us and make sure we had hot water before moving into our house. The model we originally chose was back ordered, but they kept me informed of what was going on, found out why it was back ordered, and found a replacement model. They were fully booked for installs but said they’d work on a Saturday to get us hot water if needed, and ended up squeezing us in on a Wednesday. The installers were friendly, skilled, and honest. They put a small dent in a doorframe when squeezing the water heater through and pointed it out to us. About a month later we smelled gas in the room where the water heater was and NW Natural detected a tiny leak near the water heater. The warranty company wouldn’t come out for 2 days, and said I’d be responsible for the bill if the install was causing the leak. I called Black Cat and they sent someone out immediately to make sure we didn’t have a problematic gas leak in our house, and also reasearched what caused the small leak NW Natural detected, found a replacement control box in case it was needed, gave me the direct number to the wholesale rep if I had questions, and said not to worry about any bills because they would call the warranty company and handle it directly. I will use Black Cat for all plumbing needs in the future!

We easily accomplished the two small projects after being given some suggestions. As it turned out, we did have an unrelated emergency a couple of weeks later and the firm Black Cat recommended was able to come and help within two hours.

While Black Cat's charge was well within reason, forget the money. When it comes to replumbing a big building, the only important thing is it's done right. They were terrific. All happened as planed when scheduled. The only after the fact leak came because one obscure old pipe still hooked to the system had not been found. Given the complexity of the task (huge!), it's amazing there weren't any more problems. These guys are great. Don't even get other bids--just go to them and get the job done right. We've been flooded (albeit by a hurricane in the Gulf of Mexico). We know what a flood can do. It can ruin your life. Bad plumbing causes floods. That's why getting it done right should trump any money concern. That said, again, Black Cat's bid was plenty fair.

It went great! I had used Black Cat before and when my daughter told me about the problem with the gas line, I knew who to call.I left a message after hours yesterday and heard from Mike first thing this morning. They had a cancellation and the time slot they had available worked for me. Cody met me at my daughter's house and three hours later, it was all done. Cody was very thorough and placed the line at the very back of the cabinet so that the drawers still fit. The shut off valve was originally located in the oven space where it would be inaccessible so he moved it also.

Due to issues with a massive double-trunk fir tree, we decided to wait for hookup from meter to house. That was at least two years ago. Hopefully we will also have our Certified Arborist remove the tree. We now have another estimate and work will be scheduled shortly for the meter to house.

They did a very fine work. They cleaned up everything after all the work. It was easy setting up the appointment.

I have used Black Cat Plumbing in the past, and as usual they were prompt. Old water heater was leaking so they worked me into their schedule as an emergency. The installation was done fairly quickly. The gentlemen they sent were super. My experiences with this company have been excellent every time!

Everything went well and as expected.

They made a date w/ us within a week of the call. Were super prompt, and communicated well about the estimate of time and cost. Very friendly, and excellent work. We'd totally have them back in for future plumbing needs. Without making a big fuss, he also shortened the pipe to the faucet, as it stuck out of the wall a lot more than necessary, and didn't charge us for that. We're super happy.

The plumber arrived on time and was quick and efficient. I was charged the hourly rate of $125/hour plus cost of supplies. It took him under two hours to install both new toilets and replace both valves.

We gutted our kitchen and had Black Cat do the plumbing for the remodel. Since one of the kitchen walls was also the bath room wall, we had them replace that plumbing as well. They did a great job, were on time, friendly and did good quality work. We would use them again.

Brian was great! He was on time to the estimate appointment, and even came back for a follow up estimate. His estimate was within the same price range as the other estimates I received. I chose Black Cat over the other companies I got estimates from because he is a smaller company and just seemed more genuine about getting the job done right for me and stay within the bid estimate. Because this was such a big job and the water was going to be turned off for my renters with 2 kids, he had a full crew of guys working and got it all done in one day. I highly recommend Black Cat. They are great!

The experience with them was good. I didn't have any major issues with them, they were really timely, efficient, and came in during the kitchen remodel that I had, and did everything that I needed. They did need to come back once, when things were not quite that right. They had installed something slightly off of where it should be, but they came back and fixed it. It was overall a good experience. They were very good, and they did a good job. The price was fair.

Black Cat is the best! I couldn't recommend a plumber more highly than I do Black Cat. They showed up when they said they would, were friendly and professional, responded quickly to my calls, and provided quality work. They are seriously honest and dependable: Two really important qualities in the folks who are responsible for making sure your house doesn't flood.

Took their time and did an excellent job

These guys did an awesome job putting in plumbing for my salon. I had purchased the wrong drains for my shampoo bowls so they weren't able to finish on the day they had planned but they came back and fixed the problem the very next day which happened to be the day before I was supposed to open. Their quick work saved me from any more delays.

Awoke to find no hot water and a saturated wall to wall carpet in finished basement. The water heater was leaking and I was not sure how to turn it off. I contacted Black Cat and explained the situation including my concern about shutting water supply off. The owner came within 30 minutes, shut off the water supply and assessed the situation noting the heater was corroded and needed to be replaced. Within an hour a crew arrived. They found the removal and replacement might not be possible as not enough clearance was left when new furnace was installed several years ago. They removed pipes and maneuvered the heater but eventually had to lift both the old and new water heater into place. Matt and Felipe went above and beyond. They kept me well informed, were courteous and friendly. I am very impressed with this company's excellent customer service and true concern about the welfare of their clients.
