Big Branch Woodworking

After several design revisions work was completed and installed on time. The shelving and cabinets are beautiful. Big Branch was easy to work with although they did refuse to make one fairly trivial modification I requested saying 'we just don't do that'. It wouldn't have been that difficult for them to go the extra mile there, and it would have made a difference to me. They do nice work, but they just do what they do.

Great experience working with BBW from start to finish. They installed a high quality set of cabinets that are still working and looking great 6 years down the road. Would definitely recommend them.

Overall, it was a very good experience. They worked with me on the design of the cabinets and they were very accommodating and flexible on that process. We rendered a few unexpected challenges getting things to fit right and a few decisions to make along the way and they were helpful in making those easy. The job was completed and everything is beautiful. There were couple of very small details that needed adjusting and they took care of most of it.

I was impressed with the work. Big Branch made 3 different designs until I found one that I liked. They matched the wood to my floors and other cabinets. The workmanship was excellent. And they finished the entire project with only one day in my condo. My only complaint, if I had one, is that it took several months from the first meeting until the installation. Nevertheless, I was impressed enough with them that I would recommend them to my friends. I would add that they went above and beyond in their work. One of the guys came back the next day to help install a flat-screen TV into one of the cabinets-- something that isn't usually part of the job. Highly recommend this company!!!

He seemed professional and like a good guy. He got lost and we lost the appointment, but then we rescheduled and he was on time the second time. He seems to wanna do the work he likes to do, like an artist. We decided not to do the work, but would use him in the future if we had the right project.

They were the subcontractors for our contractor. The cabinet was nicely done. We had to change a couple of things and they were flexible. They met our expectations.

Neel, the owner of Big Branch Woodworking, was a pleasure to work with. During his first visit to our house he made the point of telling us that each job he worked on was unique and he wanted to be sure that his design would work both with our kitchen and the rest of the house. In addition to a keen sense of aesthetics Neel is very down to earth and understands what works and what doesn't in functional kitchen - it is made to work, not just to look good. Neel was concerned about all the details and gave us cabinets more beautiful than we expected. After the installation Neel came by about three different times to work out the finishing touches with us and our general contractor. Neel made it clear to us that the job wasn't finished until we were completely satisfied, and we are.

Overall the job went very well. Big Branch Woodworking was able to work around my schedule and get the job done on time. the value to quality ratio is spot on. I think as a customer it is the last 5% of the work that is always the hardest. Mr. Briggs and his company stuck through to the end to ensure the job was done to my satisfaction. That level of care and dedication is hard to find today.

From the first contact to the last Neel was very courteous and professional. He worked very well with my general contractor with special requests (e.g. kitchen floor was not very level so he made custom kick plate per general contractor request in 2 days). He was able to recreate my custom craftsman moulding detail for the cabinets crown molding. He delivered cabinets and requested materials on time. He delivered on all custom work as he explained it (e.g. built custom hood with 3rd party hood vent/light to design).
