Description of Work: Very challenging assignment: rip out old flooring in 100yo home and rebuild subfloor, level sub floor and install factory finished hardwood. The supervisor Vitaly was very responsive to any concerns and made sure that crew addressed all concerns. Make sure Vitaly is on your job!

From the first meeting in the showroom to months after completion of the project when we'd call about minor issues, everything was outstanding. Steve and Vitaliy were tremendous throughout the process. Although we went into the project with the intent of solely replacing the flooring, we quickly realized that the prices were going to allow us to refinish the kitchen (at a fraction of the cost of a new kitchen) and add flooring in the bathroom and laundry room. Avenues made several trips to our house for measurements and discussion prior to beginning the project. They were there throughout the entire project overseeing the work and answering questions and concerns. Vitaliy has an incredible talent for finding what works best in the house. Once the project was completed, Avenues made several trips to our house to make sure that we were satisfied. Once the project started, any unexpected issues were brought to our attention. Things that other contractors would have ignored or would have agreed to address for a significant upcharge were addressed professionally and without significant cost to us. Items that needed to be replaced (including flooring) were completed immediately. We couldn't be happier with how everything turned out. While the quality of the product and installation were both excellent, the service we received was outstanding. We've never had an issue that's not been satisfactorily addressed. They will be the first call I make for our next project.
Description of Work: Avenues removed all of the old hardwood floors and carpet and replaced with new flooring. Avenues also refinished the kitchen cabinets and built a new pantry in the kitchen. New kitchen drawers, doors, lighting and hardware were added. Back splashes were added to the kitchen and the powder room. Additional flooring was added to upstairs bathroom and laundry room. Stone was added to fireplace to cover the brick facing.

This autumn we remodeled our entire 1970 kitchen into a beautiful traditional style. We chose Avenues Flooring and Construction for our flooring after meeting Steve May. Avenues? product choices and Steve?s helpful expertise made our selection of beautiful Acacia engineered wood flooring a choice we were excited about and the end results are spectacular. The installation process was smooth and on time with no problems. We also were pleased to purchase Pental quartz countertops through Avenues and have them take care of the installation for us. The product and completed countertops are beautiful! We selected high-end backsplash tile from Oregon Tile and Marble, and Steve came through again by making the purchase and providing us with a highly qualified tile installer to complete the final piece of our kitchen project. We are so grateful for Steve?s professional and friendly style, exceptional service and reasonable prices for each product. We sincerely enjoyed working with him and Vitaliy throughout the entire remodeling process and are thoroughly pleased with Avenues? products, installers and their superb customer service! We strongly recommend Avenues Flooring and Construction for the highest Angie?s List rating.
Description of Work: Avenues provided samples for our complete kitchen remodel before we made the final decisions to purchase engineered wood flooring, quartz countertops and ceramic tile backsplash. Avenues provided installers for all 3 aspects of the job.

Really professional and timely once started. My original material selection from a different supplier was not recommended by the installer or Steve the owner as it has problems outside in freezing weather. (Note: the other material supplier said my original choice was outdoor rated and were wrong with further checking) Total project was less than 4 days start to finish with some rain mixed in. Had a couple of blend in appearance issues that were reasonably resolved.
Description of Work: Installed approximately 160 SQ FT of quartz tile on an exterior landscape wall. A fair amount of cutting and fitting required with blending to patio, driveway, and ground. The tiles were cut from 16"x16" into 4"x16" to achieve the look wanted.

This was an excellent experience. I was especially impressed by 1) the high quality of the materials and installation, 2) the fact that everything was done exactly on the timeline we were given, all in 3 weeks total, and 3) the exceptional price. The cabinets are beautiful. The floor is beautiful. The counters are beautiful. We love our new kitchen and bathroom!!! Our house is 102 years old and has lots of funky corners and uneven areas, and Avenues was great at making it work. The cupboards and counters in the kitchen had to be custom-built around an old chimney, and they did an excellent job. There is a step-down from the kitchen to the back hallway, and the guy from Avenues did a great job of smoothing over this transition so that it is even better than before. The crown molding on the cabinets helps conceal the fact that our floors and ceiling are a little uneven. When we met with Steve, he said that the demo would be July 9, the cabinets July 10, the floors July 12, and the counters July 24. These installations happened EXACTLY on the days he promised. This meant that we were able to finish our entire remodel in less than a month. I also appreciated that I never felt Steve was trying to "upsell" us on anything. He understood our budget and the type of kitchen remodel we were doing (modest budget in a funky old house). He was able to make good recommendations, for example telling us about which quartz counters would be most economical. It's important to know that Avenues was not acting as a general contractor for our remodel. We coordinated all of the other pieces beyond the cabinets, floors, and counters. Angie's List was a great help in finding someone to move the gas stove, finding a plumber, and finding an electrician. If you are willing to run your own remodel, though, I highly recommend the quality and price of Avenues for cabinets, counters, and/or flooring.
Description of Work: We used Avenues for cabinets, flooring, and countertops for our kitchen and bathroom remodel. Avenues demolished the old kitchen and bathroom cabinets, vinyl flooring, and particle-board sub-flooring, and they hauled the old materials away. They installed new custom Hertco cabinets in the kitchen and bathroom. They installed plywood sub-flooring and marmoleum in the kitchen and bathroom (this included removing and then reinstalling the clawfoot tub so that the flooring could be installed). They installed quartz countertops in the kitchen and bathroom.

It's always great working with Steve. He helped & advised me again to get the right materials for what I wanted done in my small kitchen, scheduled the job quickly & around my schedule, and kept the job within a budget I could work with. His sub-contractor (Romeo?) was right on time, efficient, friendly, and VERY patient with me when I couldn't decide how I wanted the side walls to look. I didn't want the whole 4" height along the sides, so Romeo pulled the stones off the backing and manually placed each stone on a slope (and kept rearranging) until I was happy with the look on both edges. He's a true artist. and he didn't finish until HE was happy with it, either! In places where the grouting was a little thick on the top, he patiently leveled off every spot. It's not easy when the edge isn't level to start with due to the stones! I absolutely LOVE my backsplash. Only 1 problem arose: there was a miscalculation somewhere when ordering and we were short 2 panels. I made a quick call to Steve, and he made immediate arrangements for Romeo to pick up 2 more of the panels from their source to complete the job, at no additional cost to me. I was extremely happy to see the problem resolved immediately & completely. This is the 2nd time I've used Avenues Outlet, and I've been happy both times with the work done. I'm usually nervous with companies that use sub-contractors, but both times I've been proven wrong and have been extremely happy with the work and professionalism of the crew. I most definitely will use Avenues Outlet again.

We worked primarily with Vitaliy ( salesperson ) and Roman ( delivery & install ). The entire process was very smooth from start to finish. We checked out a large variety of product options in the store and Vitaliy brought samples of our favorites to our house when putting together the free estimates. Initially we were only going to do two rooms, but he put together 3 different estimates and we realized it made much more sense to go with the option that would cover the whole first floor (except the kitchen which is tile ). They delivered the flooring right on time, 1 week ahead of the install date in order to allow it to acclimate to our house. Once the install started they worked around our needs as far as the order of the rooms and scheduling the work. The complete installation took roughly 5 days and for the most part we were able to keep one room 'operational' by shuffling furniture back and forth. It's always hard when doing a big project like this to continue living/working in your house, but Roman did a great job keeping the mess to a minimum and he was very respectful of our space throughout the process. He cleaned up thoroughly every day before leaving, and I was really pleased with how hard he worked, and also amazed that he could keep such attention to detail after 10+ hour days. Speaking of details, our house was built in 1948 and full of complex transitions, funky angles, squeeky spots and a mish-mash of trim. Roman did an awesome job prepping the floors ( removing squeeks using screws, leveling, etc. ), selecting matching transition pieces, and cutting/notching out the existing trim-work to make the new flooring fit seamlessly. I was really surprised by how much work this turned out to be, and really pleased that the final invoice was right in line with what they had quoted me! I highly recommend Avenues Outlet. They are easy going, knowledgeable, and very hard working.
Description of Work: Sales, delivery, and installation of approx. 1000 square feet of floating bamboo flooring. The project included the removal of an old glued down parquet section and new flooring for the living room, dining room, 2 bedrooms, and hallway.

I was having trouble deciding what flooring to use in a basement bedroom (cement floor) which had been flooded a few weeks earlier. A few other flooring companies & a contractor insisted that marmoleum or a glue-down flooring was the only way to go (which itself was problematic with maintaining the adhesive bond), but I was preferring something that was warmer, and could "float" & be removed & replaced if water returned. I had used adhesive vinyl plank flooring originally, but learned too late that you can't pull up the full floor like it leads you to believe...you can only repair small sections. I had to throw away over $500 of flooring that I had purchased (elsewhere) & had laid down the year before because it all cracked when I tried pulling it up. Steve @ Avenues Flooring was excellent in listening to my needs, meeting my modest budget, and suggested using "click" together vinyl plank flooring instead of the adhesive style. It has the same good wood-like look, the durability, is water proof, resistent to mold, and I can actually pull it apart & re-install it if I ever have a water problem again! Steve also went the extra mile & researched & found a darker wood look that I preferred than what he usually carries. Scheduling the install was easy; Steve works with a gentleman named Ivan (Advanced Flooring Solutions). They offer weekend & evening appointments, so it was wonderful for me that I didn't have to take time off from work to be at the house. Ivan was very courteous, prompt, and worked efficiently. He called ahead & confirmed a time to drop off the flooring a few days before, and we arranged for a Sunday AM install. Through no fault of Ivan's, I had to re-schedule him to return to finish the small adjacent hallway. I couldn't pull up the existing hallway flooring until the bedroom was completed, and when I did, I discovered mold from the bedroom flooding had extended to under the hallway flooring as well. I got the mold cleaned up and Ivan returned the following week in an evening slot and finished the area, at no extra charge. I'm very happy with the install; it's an old house & not many of the walls are plumb in basement, but Ivan still made it look good. I also liked that Steve did follow-up calls with me to ensure everything had gone the way I wanted. The only minor issue I have is that although Ivan cleaned up the work site very well, he didn't take the empty flooring boxes with him at the end of the job, but left them outside by my house. Not a problem for me; I have a big recycle bin that took them without problem. But, I think maybe it was just an oversight. Added note: Steve also sells & installs counters & tile, in addition to flooring. I'm definitely going to be in touch with him for my next projects as well. He's absolutely the best for offering options, tips, and points to consider as you're planning your work, and making sure that your job is done right. I highly recommend checking out Avenues Flooring.
Description of Work: Purchase & install approx 260 sq ft of vinyl click-plank flooring in basement (over cement floor) bedroom & small adjoining hallway.
