They patiently answered all my questions to arrive at the final project scope and bid. Very communicative, friendly and professional. Crew arrived promptly, was very focused and diligent while working. The entire team was very knowledgeable, professional and customer oriented. I was impressed with the company, with the work they did, with everyone I interacted with, and will definitely use them again and refer them.

The crew from Ascent was professional, flexible and did overall a great job. They answered all questions and were very courteous.

We have an extremely large overgrown laurel hedge that needed some serious work. Ascent Tree & Yard Care LLC gave us a fair estimate for the job. They showed up on time and went to work right away. This crew was respectful, intelligent and very caring. They were so careful about everything. You could tell that they LOVE trees and plants! Our biggest concern was losing our privacy created by the laurel hedge as well as how the laurel hedge would look after some serious trimming. The foreman (Steve) came up with a strategy that we all agreed on. Our laurel hedge looks amazing now plus it will be much easier to keep under control each year. In these days of busy companies that sometimes never call you back, Ascent Tree & Yard Care rises to the top. They know what they are doing and really care about trees. I give them 5+ stars!!

The Ascent team helped us get city permits for two tree removals in our yard and trimmed a large pear tree. They finished the large job in two days and cleaned up both our yard and our neighbors (one removed tree was on property line), making them very happy. Their price was the lowest of 4 quotes we received. Very happy with Franklin, Steve, and the crew!

Ascent gave us a quote well below two other companies, performed the work as soon as we received a permit from the city, and left our yard neat and clean. They also cleaned up debris from our neighbors' yard, which made us and them very happy. We were very satisfied with their price, work, and results and would hire again in a heartbeat.

Ascent gave us the best deal, were very easy to work with, and did an excellent job with the tree and hedge trimming. I would definitely recommend them.

Estimated price was competitive than some other service providers, but not the lowest so I decided to give them a try and paid initial deposit before the actual service. No show for the first scheduled service time. Later on that day, Franklin text messaged me for the cancellation after I contact them first for status and rescheduled for the service. Second time they showed up, but crew was confused which tree to trim (estimation was not clear as there are multiple maple trees on the property). They did not perform the service and left, saying they are not going to do the job and will refund my initial deposit. Waste of my time.

The appointment for the initial estimate was kept right on time. I was given an informative assessment of what was needed in the area I was trying to clean up, especially regarding eradicating the ivy and protecting trees. The bid was a great price! I have had a number of arborists working on my trees in the past, and I was expecting a much higher bid. (In which case I might not have been able to afford to go ahead with the work). The crew showed up on time on the scheduled day. They all spoke fluent English and there was at least one knowledgeable person at the site all day. One of the gentleman spoke to me again at length about what further steps I could take to keep out the ivy. I had been told during the initial appointment how Ascent could help with this, but I was also given advice about how I could do the followup work myself. The crew worked most of one day, and I am so pleased with what they accomplished! What was an unusable part of my property is now an attractive, park-like area where I can walk around comfortably and play ball with my dog. It took less time to finish the work than was predicted during the first appointment, and believe it or not, Ascent actually reduced the bill accordingly! I don't recall any other landscape company ever reducing the bill after I had initially agreed to pay a larger amount! This is a terrific company! They are very competent, professional, helpful, and take obvious pride in what they do and how they do it. I have already recommended them to my neighbors and will continue to spread the word about what exceptional service I got from Ascent.

The work was done quickly by a team of people and the results are very attractive. The foreman was patient and helpful in answering my questions.

Steve and Franklin are both very professional and knowledgeable in lawn installation planning, and their crew executed the job correctly the first time. I have no complaints, and would use their services again.

They have always done excellent work. It starts with the initial quote which is well thought-out and has always been very close to the final price with them often completing the work for exactly or less than the quoted amount and very rarely being over the quoted amount. After that, they are on-time to start work and conduct the work in a professional and clean manner. Once the work is done (and at the end of the day while the project is on-going) they always leave my place looking clean and tidy. And, most importantly, the job has always been done to the manner in which I expected it to be done. I will continue to use them in the future and certainly recommend them to others.

They called me but they never followed up and they are very unprofessional. I sent them an email, they said they would come but they didn't showed up.

I was told when they would be here. They showed up with a crew of very professional workers; a couple of trucks; and a wood chipper. Over the course of about 6 hours, they completely beautified our yard. They even took the initiative to speak with my neighbors regarding a tree that was more on their property than mine. I appreciated that, because I would have told them to cut it down (but the neighbors like the tree, so it stays!)

It was great! They actually took a bit longer than we anticipated, but it was worth it. They wanted to be doubly certain that our tree was not going to bounce back. They called another organization to come in for a second opinion. So nice!

I used Ascent after a friend who has used them for several years referred them to me. I called for an estimate and heard back from them within a day. I found them to be responsive and punctual, and given what I have paid in the past to have this tree trimmed, reasonable. I would definitely hire them again.

They trimmed and removed limbs. I wish that they had taken a little more off, but they know more about it than I do.

The key here is punctuality. Steve showed up on time for the walk through. He responded quickly with the bid. We scheduled a time and he and his crew were here on time. They worked diligently. They introduced me to the 4-man crew--all were professional, yet friendly. Without asking, Ward started to load the firewood in his wheel barrow and moved it uphill to the garage and unloaded it--very helpful! I just noticed they do yard work--I'll call them for that!Tri

They show up on time and do a good job. You get exactly what you ask for. They advise you about your project without trying to sell you additional service. They're knowledgeable about trees. I have an exotic tree, and they know how to care for it.

Originally I chose Ascent based on a personal referral to clean my roof prior to house painting in August. They did an excellent job and cleaned all the gutters as well as adding filters at the downspouts. I hired them to do additional work on removing a dead tree and some shrubbery that was too close to the house. Again, their work was impeccable. We have been so impressed with their friendliness, helpfulness, and professionalism. They were always on time, called when their was a change in plans, and followed through with additional work that they recommended be done in the fall rather than the summer for the health of the tree. We were so relieved to see the heavy, bending limbs of our 100 year-old fir tree trimmed. They also cleared out dead branches and hanging widowmakers as well as opening up the tree so the wind could blow through, not against it. When they learned that I wanted to remove some miscellaneous volunteer trees and unwanted shrubs they withheld the bill for the tree trimming and made a separate trip to bring us current with arboreal maintenance. They clearly explained what was being done and why. We feel confident that our large tree is safer and space has been cleared for intentional planting. I would heartily recommend them for gutter cleaning, roof cleaning, and tree work. Dealing with them was a very pleasant and refreshing experience compared to the majority of home/yard vendors I've dealt with over the past 12 years at this location.DO: Take the time to think out all the work that you want down. It's more economical to do one large batch rather than several smaller visits. Listen to their recommendations regarding timing for pruning, e.g. late fall for fir trees.

We were very pleased with their work. They kept us informed and were easy to work with.

We are very satisfied with them. The prices seems reasonable. He has his own stump grinder so the customer does not have to include the cost of rental. He and crew clean up the site, and are courteous to us, tenant and neighbors. They use proper tree pruning techniques and understand tree health.

We are the proud owners of a 70 yr old Oak tree, its huge and some of the limbs way up were dying and dropping into the yard. With young kids playing in the yard this was a dangerous situation. Franklin and his crew strapped on their gear and went right up, took care of all of the dead and dying limbs and even cut the dropped branches into log sized pieces for me to use in my fireplace. The yard was cleaned and left in great condition. Im very happy with his work.

I was a little worried because of the tree's proximity to my house and my neighbor's landscaping. Even a dropped branch could have caused some expensive problems. Turns out there was no need for concern. Franklin and his guys took the tree down in careful stages and there was no damage at all to the surroundings. They also ground the stump under difficult circumstances (it was on a steep slope above the street) and they did a good job of cleaning up the site before they left.

Franklin contacted the power company in advance to request that they disconnect the power line running through the pine. He and his crew worked quickly the same day to cut down the pine. He coordinated the timing with PGE to get the power reconnected in the mid-afternoon. Franklin and his crew came out the next day to finish the maple. We wanted to keep the firewood and he left us everything bigger than 3-4 inches and cleaned up all the canopy debris nicely. Franklin and his crew were very friendly and respectful of our property, even moving plants on our deck. Amazing work for a great price!

Franklin was great to work with. He was not pushy, and was very respectful of our property, and my time and schedule. He has been trimming and removing trees for years, and got into it with his background in rock climbing. His two crew members were apprenticing in the business, and did a great job. Overall, I was very pleased with the service, and have already referred them to friends and neighbors.
