Description of Work: Perfromed a landscape redesign that included removing old lawn and plants and installing new lawn and plants. They also installed a new flagstone patio and working paths on both sides of the house. Also put in walking paths on both sides of the house and adjusted sprinkler system to new landscape configuration.

Description of Work: Built a new curving retaining well and leveled the back and side yards for patio tile, pavers, and turf.

Description of Work: We moved into our home 3 months ago, and the yard had been ignored for a while. The weeds were excessive, the shrubs were overgrown, and the lawn was in need of some serious TLC. We meet with Robert to discuss ideas for both the front and back yards. We decided to initially work on the front yard and perform an overall cleanup.

Description of Work: Robert with artistic Landscapes created a gorgeous, rugged, dry creak bed in our front yard and finished it off with a grove of special Paper Birch trees per our request and an assortment of only our "most very favorite" plantings for a natural, northwest feel that is both stunning and very easy to maintain. He also removed a mound of noxious ivy from our front corner and replaced it with a gorgeous Dogwood tree, more boulders and more of our favorite plants which visually expanded our front yard making it seem significantly larger than it is. Robert was always right on time and he and his crew worked diligently, quickly and with great attention to detail. Robert truly is an artist as he carefully put together our yard as one would paint a painting. His prices were fair and his communications prompt and helpful. He gave more than he had to and did not leave until everything met his high standards and we were completely satisfied. We would definitely hire him again for future projects. He loves what he does and it shows!

Description of Work: We chose Artistic Landscapes to completely re-landscape our backyard and clean up the side areas of our house. Our yard was over 10 years old and had gotten pretty ratty. Robert came to our house to give us a quote and was very enthusiastic about the project and working with us. Our project included: removal of old lawn, installation of french drains, installation of pavers and a walkway, installation of new sod lawn and landscaping around the new lawn with plants and bark dust. On one side of our house, they removed weeds and plants, laid down weed barrier and bark dusted. On the other side of the house, they removed a lot of yard debris and tree limbs, removed the existing grass and stepping stones. They then spread ¼ minus gravel throughout the area and made a walking path to the back yard. In our front area, he removed a tree, added a small retaining wall and added soil and plants to neaten up the whole area. He and his team showed up on time every day and Robert was there working the entire time. They worked on the project for a week and at the end of each work day they cleaned up completely. As the project progressed and we came up with additional ideas, Robert worked with us and easily incorporated them. We feel that he went above and beyond helping us complete our yard. At the end, although they worked mainly in the back and side yards, they mowed and edged our front yard and trimmed some trees.They did a great job and we would highly recommend them.

Description of Work: We consulted with Artistic Landscaped on a total redesign of our yard/landscaping. They provided us with a detailed design document that includes the general shape of the lawn, planting bed and hardscapes. The document also includes the proposed plants to be used. They also provided us with a binder that includes detailed info on the plants to be used.

Description of Work: New landscape design and installation for front and side yards. A tree and an overgrown bush were removed. Landscaping consisted of a flagstone patio, dry creek bed with river rock, crushed stone path from driveway to gate on left side of the house and assorted plants, grasses and trees.

Description of Work: We recently replaced and lowered our driveway and sidewalk. As a result, we needed the front lawn regraded to the new pavement. We also had various problems with our sprinkler system that we wanted fixed at the same time. We selected Artistic Landscapes based on their high ratings on Angie's List. A crew of three men, including the owner, Robert, spent most of the day working on our lawn and sprinkler system. They removed and reserved our existing lawn, regraded the slope, and then replaced the lawn. They then renovated all four zones of our sprinkler system, moving several heads, raising 18 heads, and replacing 5.

Description of Work: Robert and Crew came out to repair our irrigation system. We had broken hoses, sprinkler heads that were not in use, uneven water pressure, and horrible coverage. Given the reviews from others I figured Artistic Landscaping had to be good! I was not disappointed! They made all the necessary fixes/corrections to our system and it's working perfectly! Robert was great as well as Carlos and Moses extremely efficient, Robert was very detailed with me while they were working to let me know what was going on at all times! When they were finishing up I did ask about my lighting because it wasn't working either. Robert was great they took a look at it and they were more than happy to come back out to take a more detailed look which I immediately called and scheduled! They now have my lighting in working order! They are very clean leaving my backyard cleaner than what it was!

Description of Work: As a trained chef, I am continually searching for unique blends of the art and craft of food preparation and presentation. When searching for a landscape design and installation company, my wife and I looked for a company that was provably committed to expressing the art and craft of design and installation in a manner that uniquely reflected our desire to create a patio garden that was welcoming, comforting and serene. We required an environment that would embrace our friends and family with a feeling that said "come, relax, enjoy, share and when you leave, leave refreshed". Sarah, who is the design talent with a wonderful ability to listen and then translate our desire into a very well rendered plan and Robert and his crew, who implemented the design, completed the project on time and below budget. They are an exceptional team who have exceeded our expectations. By the way, Sarah was out there working right along with the guys [imagine, an artist helps with the dirty heavy lifting!!!]. Description of Work: Robert and crew installed three rock retaining walls, some stone stairs, and did a tune up on our underground sprinkler system to fix some leaks and improve sprinkler coverage. One of the retaining walls included a drain pipe.

Description of Work: Robert and his crew installed a French Drain approximately 116 feet long from the back of our house, around a corner, and through the front. On a very rainy day, with lots of water seeping from the hillside springs, they worked quickly and effectively, building the trench, burying the pipe and filling with river rock, and cleanly disposing of extra dirt.

Description of Work: Robert can within 1 day of my calling him for an estimate. He asked questions and listened to what we wanted to have done. He then drew up a proposal at that 1st appt. We were very happy with the estimate. We called the next day to give the go ahead on the project. We had a terrible problem with standing water in our back yard. Robert and his crew came out a week or so early and sprayed our back yard to kill off the grass. They then came and dug up all the grass, brought in lots of top soil to slope the yard, expanded on the drain we already had in. We put brick pavers all around the lawn area. Freshened up the river rock we had, put in slate stepping stones to access the lawn, planted several plants, roses, hydrangeas, etc. Cleared out our side yard, and replaces old river rock, removed old pots I no longer wanted, and even cleaned out old plants from the planters I did want to keep. Had several plants installed in front yard, brick pavers around the lawn area, all new mulch for front and back, and back lawn had sod put down. So many things were taken care of, and we did have a few little changes along the way, which were handled expertly, no problem. I love our new yard!!

Description of Work: Artistic Landscapes replaced 2 timber walls with a continous retaining wall. They had two dig back a couple feet in order to connect the two walls. Installed Perf Pipe behind the wall and filled in with river rock.
