This company is a complete SCAM! Avoid at all costs! Not only did they not help my ant problem, which is what I hired them for, they are billing exorbitant amounts to my credit card...$1485 so far and I only hired them in June 2024 - 5 months ago, for $135 a month. They are demanding more money now and when I refused to pay they referred me to a bill collector who is harassing me. I tried to report them to the BBB but they were kicked out last June. Their contract is tricky, if not impossible to terminate. And they want MORE money to do that!

Aptive Environmental is horrible. They have no showed, no called/texted multiple appointments. They have cancelled appointments last minute. They sell you on their product working or they will come right out to treat again. Well, it is like pulling teeth to get them to come out. We originally signed up because we felt their price was reasonable. Well their product doesn't work, so the fact that they are charging any price is un reasonable. DO NOT GET SUCKERED INTO THEIR CONTRACT!!! You will not be satisfied, and the is a guarantee.

Nothing but issues with this company from day 1. Started with "out of stock" gear/traps, lazy technicians and poor service and now the final straw was claiming to have stopped by for our appointment and "we weren't home". I've been sitting on the couch in front of the window waiting. Nobody stopped here.. my security cameras also confirm this. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

Product did not work and when we told them nothing was reported. More ants and spiders were stirred up rather than gotten rid of. They lied to us about how long we had to pay for the plan before we could cancel. Went on for months. Customer service was awful and rude.

Solicitors at my door without Masks. Aptive pest control has come to my house 4 times. Todays representative stood close to the door without a mask on. My husband said he was mailman as thought we had to sign for package as carrying electronic signing device. So told him my husband was a transplant patient and immune suppressed so I had to get my mask on at which point he volunteered to put on paper disposable one he carried in his hand. Really too late as already standing close talking without mask. Grrrrr!!!! I understand everyone is trying to make living during hard times, but my husband is toast being immune suppressed if he gets Covid. He doesn’t go anywhere and I go out only for groceries with medical mask we had around for painting projects. Aptive has been at my door 4x in 3 months. They need to solicit less often where they have already been, and wear a mask and stand 6ft plus away!

Terrible experience! This is a scam company be careful people, they knot your door even with a no soliciting sign , they just try to sell, first service fine , no complains but after that the nightmare begins. I need to schedule the monthly appointment the app never works, so I should call on the phone after wait 30 minutes the system give the option just to leave a message!!! By the way they never call me back I called a 2nd time after 25 min I was able to schedule the appointment. The day of the appointment 2 tech came to my house I explain that I saw a rat in the crawl space in my house, after 5 minutes to spray the regular "repellent" for the insects and leave a bait trap outside the house they just leave without talk to me, didn't give me any direction about next steps, I called back wait for 28 min to expressed my concern there customer service agent was not nice so I decide cancel it , obviously I wait in line 1hour again! Terrible experience! At least I called another company and wow I was a huge difference the tech came and work 2 hours fixing my pest problem . People don't hire this scam company

They are awesome. They are very reliable, they call before they came and very thorough.

We have been using Aptive for a couple of years for quarterly pest control. We've noticed over the past couple of years the quality of the quarterly service has declined dramatically. Case in point, this month. Our quarterly service came, and when I arrived home afterwards, all the spider nests were still on my house and deck. These are hobo spider nests. They need to go. I called and asked them to send out a new technician because they missed a bunch. The tech showed up two hours past the window we were provided, and was packing up to leave when I came outside. I asked if he'd gotten all of them and he said yeah. I pointed out two large ones on the front of my house that he'd missed. Then walked around the house and pointed out all the others. These were LARGE hobo webs - they were NOT easy to miss. I asked him if he'd mind spraying around the shed and he said "we don't do that". I asked him to take care of some webs in the window boxes. He said "we don't do that." So, basically, we have been paying quarterly service rates for the tech to arrive, spray around the base of the house and not actually deal with the existing problems.

I really did not like that they ignored the no solicitor sign, lied that they are working on the neighborhood. They actually came back 2 days later, very aggressive and pushy.

I signed up for quarterly pest control. They touch base with you to make sure they know what problems you have. They asked if there is anything else when they are done.

I cancelled the contract within 15 minutes of signing it and requested an email confirmation of the cancellation. The company was cooperative and sent me the confirmation.

Rip Off Review. Watch out for these guys. They came up while we were outside working in the yard. Stated they had been working on my next-door-neighbor's house and would save us money if we signed up for their pest control service while they were in the area. Found out later they had not worked on neighbor's property. The one year contract for $215 was written in such a way to make one think all they had to do to get out of the contract was pay $99. NOT SO! Turns out the fine print says if you want to cancel the contract it COSTS MORE to cancel then if you just go ahead and let them spray for a year. SCAM Alert! The "initial" treatment costs $299 but with the "discount" they only charge $99 for the initial spraying only. They wanted an additional $130 if you try to cancel. (which equals $229) If we let them go ahead and spray for a year it would only cost $215! The guy who signed us up said they would provide bug bombs for inside if wanted. Never happened. Somebody walked around the foundation and did a spray, that was it. We noticed the ants and spiders got worse inside our house after they sprayed. Don't waste your money on this outfit. Bad news. The contract is cleverly written to conceal the fine print. This business uses very shady (and expensive) sales techniques.

It's $95 a visit. If there's any problem they come back. If I ask them to spray inside my shed, they do that. They're very accommodating. I think the cost is high, but I don't know. I haven't really priced it around. I haven't had any problem with bugs. They tell me when they're coming and they get here. I haven't had very many requests or anything. It works and it works well. Their professionalism is good.

General Review: This business has some shady sales practices. Typical door to door sign up bait and switch. I'm more upset that I actually fell for it. Advertised pricing is not what you signed up for, nor what was described during the sales pitch. In addition, when calling customer service the service agreement on file is an electronic copy of an agreement, and not a scan of the paper you one signed during initial sign up, so they don't have a way to verify what the salesman offered to begin with. Customer service will tell you iit doesn't matter what the salesman told you, only what's in their system. Event Summary: Aptive showed up at my door soliciting sign ups less than a week after my prior pest control guy had already sprayed my house. I told the Aptive Representative (Travis Alger) I didn't want to pay for another quarterly service, given that I had just paid for one. He assured me that the initial service was free and they would do another free follow up within 30 days. My first quarterly service wouldn't start until 90 days out from sign up. I reconfirmed verbally this information two more times with him to make sure I was understanding the information properly and I wouldn't see any additional charges for another 90 days. Turns out, the "free" follow up within 30 days was the first quarterly service, so they charged me the quarterly fee for it. As stated earlier, their customer service was totally unhelpful and didn't care. I paid a $229 cancellation fee because I rather pay it and cut ties then to give these liars/crooks my business. They also didn't understand the math of the money they are losing by having me cancel from loss of future charges/business, so you can add "stupid" to the list of company traits. If they don't value me as a customer, they don't deserve my money.

I was in agreement with a $99 special and then $129 every quarter for a year. Not anymore. I told them to leave. This guy and his assistant need to be fired. Initially I was taken aback when they greeted me at the door and asked what it was I wanted them to do. Had I not already been sold a "complete" service for the exterior and interior of my home? (YES!) Had they not gotten a report from the corporate office stating that? (Apparently not!) But this is what REALLY got me boiling (and I am by nature very laid back and friendly) - When I was sold this service yesterday, along with all of the information about the Aptive package, I was shown the map of a house. It stated boldly "How we set ourselves apart from the competition" and had green lines drawn around the ENTIRE home. On top of that, so the contract said, they spray a perimeter in the YARD, away from the house, all the way around. In essence A FULL perimeter completely around the home. Well, because that little alarm had already gone off in my mind, I watched through my windows as they proceeded to spray only one third of the way around my home - the front, parts of the side (but only some parts as they did not bother to move a few of the yard items to the side to spray directly on that part of the house), and the back - again, only 1/2 of the back, where the patio was. They did not bother to spray the driveway (where the ants were) nor did they spray under the eaves, which was also on the picture/map (which can be seen on their website). While I watched through the blinds in my windows, John-Paul Pease, the team leader, went to the pickup and got a small handful of chemical (natural from what I understand) to spread somewhere near the house - I did not see that part). Then he returned to the pickup to clean his hands with a chemical remover or something, and then headed to the front door to ring the bell. When I opened up the door, he was putting on the blue booties to come inside and do the interior work I had requested. I asked him to his face whether he was done outside. When he stated clearly he was (after 8 minutes of spraying only part of the house exterior - and I am paying THAT MUCH money for 8 minutes!? NOT in my world!), I told him that no, he was done and did not need to proceed. I then went to my office and got a printout of the house picture from their website, marked clearly with all the perimeter work on the outside - which he had CLEARLY NOT done. I asked whether that was what the contract with his company promised (doing ALL of the outside). When I got an affirmative, I then told him clearly that he was done, I did NOT want to see a single penny charged on my card, and I did not want to see his crew in my neighborhood again. If I had not been watching through the window they would have gotten away with this scam. I am absolutely fuming that these guys are running around scamming people like me, who work hard for our money and who, like me, want the job done right and as promised on the contract. I will be sure to share my story on as many platforms as possible to help protect other people who are looking for a job well done. NOT! And the funny thing is - I sell Reputation Management services to companies like this! Unbelievably ironic. And as requested by Angies - I hereby swear that every bit of this is true, although I don't care if this company believes it or not - I do not want to see them again.

They were here less than 5 minutes and charged us $109.00 as a visit to be sure we were free of pests. I'm just thinking I could have went to the grocery store and bought some pesticides, I could've saved myself a lot of money. When I called them, they didn't respond. I had to contact them again. They always seemed to care, I just don't feel we got the results. And they didn't come on time.

We have Aptive for general pest control (spiders, bugs, etc). We noticed some droppings around the house didn't know if if was mouse, rat or whatever. I called Aptive as we had rodents on our contract. I explained that we found dropping but were not sure what kind of critter we were dealing with and we noticed that the vents under the house appeared to be breached. I explained that I needed someone to go under the house inspect to see what we were dealing with. I was told that "it is against company policy to have employees to go under a house". I asked then how do we know what were dealing with or how to treat? I was advised they would put out bait around and in crawl space> I then asked if a critter dies do they remove from under the house? the answer was ", we don't allow our employees under the house". So I called another pest control company, they were out in hours and went under the house, determined what we were dealing with and took appropriate measures. The will come back in 30-60 and 90 days, but if we notice a smell from dead rodents they will come out and remove and deodorize. I called Aptive and told them I wanted to cancel our service due to the issues they would not take care of to my satisfaction. The response was " I noticed you signed a 1 yea contract there is a cancellation fee so it would cost you to cancel" I told them that since they refused to do what was necessary they violated their agreement. I was told " there is nothing in the contract that stated that!

I don't see them actually do it. I still have pest in my yard but my entire yard can't be treated because I have tortoises that roam my yard. They can only do the house but I have spiders in my house and I found an occasional cockroach. I've actually cancelled my service with them. They're very friendly. They seem knowledgeable, I just didn't see any form personally. I didn't notice a difference. I'm a special circumstance because I can't have my entire yard treated. Whenever I signed up with them, the sales guy told me they use all natural organic ingredients and then we the tech came out he said, no that's not true. I was misinformed by the sales rep who was trying to do anything and everything to make the deal.

First time used signed up for a 1 year service. They "beat" Barriers price so we are trying them out. Will let you know after the first quarterly visit if the ants and such are gone.
