+ -1 moreApollo pools inspected a pool at house we were going to purchase. It had some problems initially, but after talking to the inspector the day of the inspection we decided to go ahead with the purchase. After thinking about it for a day or two we had some more questions. I called Apollo pools and talked with Jody. He looked up the inspection report and said that the pool needed about 3 times more work and $$ than what I was told by the person who actually inspected the pool. Needless to say we backed out of the purchase. Glad I talked to Jody!

+ -1 moreAfter 3 weeks, 3 different repairmen, two stab at the boards the tub is still not working. They try and then up-sell you to more work rather than fix the bad work they have done. Also, they have the nasty habit of taking parts of your tub back with them so you are stuck with them having to do the work because you don't have all the needed parts for your tub so anyone else can fix it. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
Description of Work: Beware of this company, Hot tub problem so give them a call and am told they have a repairperson that is very good at diagnosing problems. Comes out, says board is bad so takes the old board AND the frame back to the shop. Checks the board says it is ok so spends 1 hour labor putting the bad board back in, doesn’t work so takes it out again and orders a NEW board. One week…Board comes in and another repairman comes out to put it in, can’t because the FRAME is still in the shop. New person comes out and puts in the board with the frame, ½ hour labor. Board doesn’t work, second week. Another repairman comes out and after 1 hour more labor the new board is in and it works??? Three days later the tub stops working again, says the new board was a ‘rebuilt’ one??? not a 'new' one and tries to sell us up sizing the job. NO, ORDER A NEW BOARD THAT WORKS. He AGAIN takes the guts of the tub back to the shop and we are left with a mess. After 2 ½ hours labor and parts and $560+ bill I am left with a broken hot tub, no board or frame and no promise that things will ever be fixed. Now in week 3. AGAIN Beware of this company.

+ -1 moreThey ended up doing a good job on the pool itself. However, it was a real chore to get them out there to do their job and not hold the job up. They gave excuses each time but finally made it several days or a week late in most cases.

+ -1 moreThis has been very frustrating, all the way around. They charge more than others, and if you make any complaint, they blacklist you.
Description of Work: After buying a new pool pump from them, I needed them to come out every year to get the darned thing started -- at a cost of roughly $70 each time. This last year, I specifically told them to ask the repair man to wait until I got to the pool to get it started,so I could learn how to do it myself. The repair person was new and very young. He didn't wait for me. He got it started without me, so I still didn't know how to get it running. I was very angry, but I paid him. (He claimed he waited and waited, but that wasn't true.) Anyway, after that, they refused to do any work for me. In this town, that leaves you high and dry. Overpriced.

+ -1 moreAfter calling a few other companies and never getting responses, we were happy to hear back from this company promptly. Both the person who took our calls and the other person who came and repaired the pump were polite and responsive.
Description of Work: The pump for the inground pool stopped working. The company replaced the motor.

+ -1 moreWE WERE HAPPY WITH THE HELP AND ADVICE WE GOT WITH THE PLUMBING, BUT WHEN WE BROUGHT OUR OLD MOTOR IN, THEY SAID IT WORKED FINE IN THE SHOP. WE BROUGHT IT HOME AND IT DIDN'T WORK. WE TOOK IT BACK AND THEY SAID THEY WOULD TAKE IT ALL APART AND REBUILD IT. STILL NOT WORKING. THEN AT THEIR SUGGESTION WE BOUGHT A NEW MOTOR. IT STILL DIDN'T WORK. THEN WE GOT WILLAMETTE SPA TO WORK ON IT AND FOUND OUT WE DIDN'T NEED A NEW MOTOR AT ALL, JUST A CONTROLLER. APOLLO WOULDN'T REFUND OUR MONEY BUT THEY DID CHARGE US LESS THAN FULL PRICE.
Description of Work: WE NEEDED TO REPLUMB OUR SWIMSPA AND BUY CHEMICALS AND LEARN ALL ABOUT IT. WE BOUGHT ALL OUR PLUMBING PARTS HERE AS WELL AS A NEW MOTOR AND FILTER.
