ALL PHASE PAINTING

It didn't go. I scheduled a time for Paul from All Phase Painting to come out to the house, walk around, ask and answer questions, and submit a bid. I set aside my time, he came out and spent around 20-30 minutes, and we went over the project. When he saw the old paint on my 1951 house, he put his finger over his mouth, as if to say let's not talk about this, mentioned the words "lead paint" and acted as if it was something he wanted to avoid. He never tested for lead paint as he is required to do by law. He said he would get me a bid within the next day or two. A day or so later I wrote him an email saying that he needed to include lead paint testing and remediation in his bid if he wanted the work. I wrote that I wanted the job done right even if it cost more to do it. Almost two weeks went by and I received nothing. I wrote him a second email about this to which he has still not replied. The irony of it all is that the old peeling paint does NOT contain lead, as it was tested by other contractors. I recommend against using this contractor. He wasted my time, did not do the lead paint test as required by law, and appeared (this is subjective) to avoid my job because it might have involved lead paint removal and remediation before doing the outside paint job. He never had the courtesy to write back or respond and tell me why he didn't want the job.

All Phase did great quality work. They worked around commercial tenant schedules, handled storefront painting work that was 'right over' the sidewalk on a busy street with parked cars. Very knowledgeable. This was a turn-key job. Now here's where he also excelled - I like to think I have a good eye for paint colors, but my track record is indeed mixed. All Phase worked with a color consultant and really narrowed the color scheme. All Phase caught that the paint colors were slightly off from the samples and worked with the vendor for an accurate color. Good work, very efficient, knowledgeable, and reasonable. Wouldn't hesitate to use again.

I have used All Phase in the past for exterior painting. Paul, the owner helped us to pick a paint color which we were well pleased with. A neighbor said after the paint job it was the best looking house in the neighborhood. They had to do a lot of caulking and prep work for this job and they didn't cut any corners before the paint was applied. The crew was on time, friendly and professional and cleaned up appropriately. Paul treated his people with much respect and kindness which impressed me greatly. Since my experience was such a good one, I recently called him to do some drywall repair after some canned lights were installed. He took the time to accommodate the need to get the job done in a time sensitive situation. He then came back last week and painted my windowsills in my kitchen nook area so Premier Windows could come in and install shutters. I appreciate Paul taking the time out to personally attend to my needs in his busy and quot;outdoorand quot; season of exterior painting. This winter I am going to have him come in and do some more interior work. I would highly recommend him and his company to others.

Paul showed up on time for the initial quote. When walking around the house we discovered areas that needed repair that I hadn't noticed. He has a good eye for detail. I appreciated his honesty and professionalism. When we scheduled the work to be done he and his crew showed up when expected and finished on time. I feel they did an amazing job. They cleaned up the area when finished. If I need any further work done in the future I will definitely call Paul. I highly recommend All Phase Painting. .

Paul, the owner, showed up when he said he would for both the estimate and the work. He did exactly what he said he would, and he did everything necessary to produce a quality result. We bought this house earlier in 2011, and it didn't appear to have been adequately cared for in recent years. Paul and his folks spent a solid week prepping. There was some peeling trim, and some of the siding needed a lot of prepping and priming. He spent the time and to my eye, the surfaces were completely ready before any new paint was applied. I work some long hours, so I didn't have time to stand over Paul's shoulder. We had to trust him to do the job right, and he didn't abuse that trust. Unlike other contractors I've hired, he also didn't play the game of starting the work and then disappearing for days at a time. He told us when he'd start and when he'd finish, and he stuck to those dates. We also had All Phase bid on refinishing our deck as a separate job. Their work was equally good on that. I think I could have gotten a lower bid from somebody else if I'd really tried... but Paul quoted a fair price and we got what we paid for. I don't think I could ask for much more than that.

They paint 6 to 8 of our buildings. They provide excellent customer service. They are very receptive to dealing with individuals at home and how to make it so that it inconveniences them the least or as less as possible. Their billing is always accurate and timely. They work with us and our schedule so that it is really easy.

Paul did an outstanding job considering the condition of the walls and ceilings. Restored damage to all molding where needed. Made helpful suggestions for additional upgrades - hardware, lighting, etc., which we were able to do ourselves, and found most helpful. I would highly recommend All Phase Painting.
