We knew from experience that the design schemes in magazines make for eye-catching layouts but often don't work in our own home. Integrating existing, disparate elements into a comfortable whole, without always forcing an "extreme makeover," is where Shirley really shines. As she said, "People always have more than they think they do." The result is that we were able to bring elements of fresh color and surprise to our main living areas, but keep the objects and furniture we're really attached to. Best of all, she really took our interests to heart, including those of cost. Shirley brings a gifted eye for balance, arrangement and especially color. She demonstrated how a subtle shade of difference can seem niggling, but in combination with other colors the effect has been substantial. She worked with our preferences for warm desert tones and nature-based themes in an intuitive, non-pushy way. A great experience and value.
