When I asked Jason for a bid, he came over right away and his bid was very competitive. He was very close on his original estimate of when he would start the work, despite a rainy month. The work was completed very quickly and professionally. When I walked around the property at the end of the job, there wasn't a single thing that needed changing. I think this is the first time I've had a house painted when not a singe garden plant was harmed. The house looks beautiful and I couldn't be happier.

My wife and I purchased a home almost seven years ago in the Sellwood area. The home came with a long term tenant who paid the rent but in the mean time ruined the property. My wife and I spent over two years re-doing this home and I do mean re-doing the home, there wasn't one element of the house that hadn't been totally ruined. That's another story. Agape Painting was one of the contractors that we worked with to paint the exterior of the home. They were great. Prompt, discussed all aspects of the preparation, the products to be used, minor repair and replacements of some of the exterior cedar siding and the final application. I can highly recommend Agape Painting.

The overall experience was very good. Jason was prompt to come over and give us a quote. The price was very competitive. Once we hired Jason, he kept us informed as to when he would be working on our house and then once he started painting he finished promptly. He did a very good job, cleaned up after the job. We are very satified with the paint job and the services provided.

I called for an estimate. Jason came out the same day and I received a quote by e-mail a day or two later. The estimate was very fairly priced, plus he could do both the carpentry work and paint. I didn't have to hire two different people. He came and completed the job in less than two weeks from when I first called. Usually at the completion of a job, I find little things that could have been done better. Not this time - no damage to the plants in the way, smooth paint lines, and no gaps in any of the carpentry work. I'm very happy and highly recommend Jason.

Everything went great once we got started. The rain in Portland this spring was difficult to work around and delayed the project a bit.

Jason came by for a bid within two hours of my phone call. He suggested working for time and materials instead of by bid and I thought that would be fair to both parties and went with that. I had a bid of $2,000 from another painter so I knew the parameters. Jason charged $35/hour for himself and $15/hour for a helper, who turned out to be his likable father Dan. They worked hard, without break, and did a fine job. Jason is a focused, knowledgeable painter and his suggestions of paint type and colors were on target. He arrived on time each day, had a plan, and we were very pleased with the outcome.

Overall the work was excellent and Jason Cox, the owner, kept in touch with me by phone. He had to reschedule the work a couple of times due to pending wet weather. I had gotten two bids for painting only the front of my home and Agape was the low bidder. After I had signed the original bid, Jason said that the roof was steeper than he originally thought (when he came out to pressure wash) and said he would need a helper, raising the bid from $750 to $1,300. I was sort of surprised that he didn't recognize this roof problem earlier but I let him go ahead with the higher bid. His painting work was excellent but I wasn't too happy about the "surprise" of a higher price.

Estimate was right on, the job began immediately and was totally a great experience.

It went well. The project was delayed a bit due to rain. But once it was started it took about two half days. Very friendly. He also did a few things extra with no added cost, like the moss beware after the power wash. Inspecting the entire roof where I had just mentioned part of it.

This is the second time I have hired Jason, after he did a fantastic job painting the exterior of my house last summer. The bedroom he painted has a lot of corners and sections of wall space and he completed the job (including the bathroom with a very tall skylight area) in a day and a half. Jason is always efficient, respectful, courteous and professional and I feel very confident about his work as he keeps me updated regarding his progress and/or any concerns he has. When I did my walk through after he finished, I just kept smiling because the room looked perfect! I'm very satisfied with the outcome of the job. Thanks Jason!

I really enjoyed having them do the painting. They were very friendly. They had very high integrity which I was very pleased with. They did this job very quickly and thoroughly. Their price was lower than any of the bids we got. I would use them again without hesitation. The house looks fabulous, I am very pleased with it!

They did a good job. They painted really well. They were really professional. They communicated over phone and e-mails in a respectful manner. My husband was satisfied with the job. They were the lowest bidder.

Jason came and bid and returned a call with his price the same day. The job was done in 2 days of the same week.

Jason promptly responded to our request for a bid, gave us a lot of information on the project, and quickly responded to all the follow up questions. The bid was in the middle of the range but we selected Jason based on his responsiveness and personality rather than going with the lowest bid. Pre-job communication was a great combination of email and phone. The week of the project Jason and his crew were fabulous - and the final product was fantastic. We have received several compliments from our neighbors on how the house turned out.

Given the circumstances of some unexpected repairs, the whole experience went remarkably smoothly thanks to Jason's calm demeanor and practical suggestions. He showed up or called when he said he would, he kept me updated on the whole process and I never had any pressure to move forward with anything I wasn't comfortable with. Jason and Mike were polite, respectful, timely and the work site was clean when they left. And best of all, I love the way the house looks in its new paint job! I would not hesitate to recommend Agape Painting to anyone.

Jason initially responded to my email almost immediately and was very pleasant to "chat" with online via a few emails. After finding out that our house was built in 1922, he asked me several questions about whether or not there was any lead paint and if the siding had ever been replaced and the history of painting, etc. Because the house is so old and we have only owned it for 3 years, I don't have the answers. The current paint job was done shortly before we bought the house, but we don't like the colors. His next email didn't come for several days and then he said that their company policy is not to service houses that are older than 1978. It didn't make sense that he hadn't told me that right up front if it is truly their "policy" and I think that info should be on their company profile, so I wouldn't have wasted my time. So anyone with a house built before 1978, don't waste your time. It's too bad because Jason was extremely pleasant and I loved everything I read about the company on Angie's List. Bummer.

Everything went very well. They arrived on time and worked very hard while they were here. On the second day they were supposed to be here, it rained, and Jason called early in the day to say they would be here the next day to finish and they were. We even added some minor interior repairs and paint touch up, and they did that also.

Jason was very prompt with a bid which was in the mid-range of those we obtained. He provided details on the services to be performed (mold abatement, power washing, caulking, & painting) in a professional format. He kept us apprised of delays due to the rain. Jason & Mike did an excellent job painting our house and it looks great! They left the area clean and tidy and were very pleasant to deal with.

Jason and Michael were not able to start on scheduled date because of rain, but kept us informed,and showed up on time for the reschedule. Everything went smoothly, and we have no complaints.Jason and Michael were courteous and professional, and finished the job in a day and a half.

Made appt. and got quote right away from Jason able to work us in quickly. The room looks fantastic; changing the color has made all the difference. These guys took great care to keep it clean, sharp and professional. There are several walls were the new paint color meets an existing diff color and those lines are clean, straight, just perfect. There isn't a drop of paint spilled anywhere. They used very padded ladders to protect the floors/walls. Very friendly guys, trust worthy and hard-working. Had great suggestions/fixes for existing issues. There were several spots on walls needing cosmetic repair. I pulled down wall mounted track lighting and there were about 5 gapping holes, many small bulges in drywall and nicks in wall; they patched all perfectly; can't even see where damaged spots were. It's obvious that a professional painted the walls, the job is outstanding and they were even nice enough to leave us a thank you. Already looking into the next job with Jason & Mike. Thanks!

I highly recommend Agape Painting. Jason was very professional, quick to come out for the bid, promptly emailed me and kept in touch with me about scheduling. After I decided to go with Agape he sent a team out to power wash the house, they were very courteous and did a thorough job. A few weeks later Jason and 2 others came and did the whole job in less than a day. They worked very hard and cleaned up well after the job was complete. The exterior looks brand new, a fantastic job! The price was very reasonable also.

Jason always kept us informed of the work times and was prompt on all the days.

Jason was very prompt about coming to our house to give us a bid. He arrived on time and gave us a folder of information, including references and paint samples--very impressive. He promised the bid within 48 hours via e-mail, but four days later I called to find out where the bid was. As expected, he is very busy, probably due to his rave reviews on Angie's List! The bid arrived two days later. It was very detailed, professional looking, and worth the wait. Jason also checked back with me a week later to see if I had any questions. The scope of our job mushroomed through the bid process from simple painting to drywall work and ceiling repair. I really wanted to hire Jason because I feel that he would do an excellent job. However, I decided to go with a company that could do all aspects of the interior work needed and start sooner.

Jason was quick to respond to our request for a bid. He was available to come and meet with my husband the very next day. He explained that although he was extremely busy, he would love this project as a fill in when the rains began. We contacted him with the color of white we chose and he was able to complete the project within the time frame we set. What can I say other thank we are thrilled. Jason's bid was by far the lowest, but we chose him based on others reviews. He did a great job - the hardwood floors were protected, no over spray on the light fixtures, and the entire house looks great. The neighbor stopped by and couldn't believe the difference. Jason has checked in to make sure we're satisfied. He's very conscientious and client oriented. We will definitely be using agape painting for our other painting projects!

He was very prompt and provided the best quote of all painters. Unfortunately, he was unable to accommodate us in the end due to his schedule. I would have preferred to hire him were it not for the schedule problem. Overall he was very professional.
