Everything went well. There were no surprises, nothing got lost and all our furniture arrived in the same condition. Would use again.

They were very easy to deal with and gave estimate. They were very punctual. There was no problem with the estimate and actual pricing and I really enjoyed working with them. I would rate them high overall. I would use them again in the future if needed.

It went very smoothly and I thought it was very efficient and cost effective. The contents did get a little jumbled, but nothing at this point have I found to be broken.

To start with, my dissatisfaction is not entirely ABF's fault. My problem is with their sister company, advertised on their website as a packer and loader. They are called Moving Solutions. I used ABF previously to move a portable storage unit. They are well priced, clear about their charges, and they do exactly what they promise. However, DO NOT add on the Moving Solutions help. I feel very strongly that they intentionally mislead you on how much they will charge you. The same person who verified multiple times that I understood that ABF would charge me additional for every extra foot used in the moving van never once mentioned that the loaders would also charge me additional for each foot. They made me believe that I would be paying a flat rate for loading. I was given a quote based on very specific information about my belongings and I was assured by the salesperson (actually by multiple people I spoke with, as I repeatedly brought it up because I didn't believe them) I spoke with that they could fit my belongings in half the space that was actually needed. Furthermore, the loaders were extremely slow, and even told us that they were paid hourly. It took them approximately 9 hours to do what we probably could have done with a few friends in 5. My husband even pitched in when he got frustrated about how slow it was going. I think at the end of the day he moved about half of the boxes himself. Then, a few days after moving I got the charge with no explanation, and was also charged for moving items that were not used. When I called them (Moving Solutions) they were very rude and basically told me to read the fine print because it says they can charge me more., then they gave me the run around. I have unfortunately not found the time to file a BBB complaint (I have a 1 year old and I am remodeling a house), but I do intend to. I want to save other people from the experience we had. I went back and looked, and felt stupid because it does say that they can charge more per foot. I honestly thought that was just the stated ABF charge for additional feet, not for the loaders. It also did not say anything about how much additional would be charged per foot. I think they ended up charging about $135 per foot of loading, so I was charged an additional $1500 or so. It really appears that they are intentionally misleading about how the charges for loading. Another issue we had was that Moving Solutions promised me (again, on multiple occasions) that we could have same day turn around on the trailer. It was important because we lived in a condominium complex and could only park the trailer on a red curb. Normally, they drop the trailer off and leave it for 3 days. They put me on hold and called ABF and supposedly made arrangements for this. On the day of the actual move, I was told by our "moving coordinator" to just call about an hour before we wanted the trailer picked up. When I called, they seemed surprised that I needed a pick up that day. It caused a lot of panic (for me). They made it happen, but they obviously did not do what they said they did. In the end, the price is likely what I would have paid for another company to load. However, had I known how this was going to go I could have hired a more professional company. We might have had our belongings packed in a reasonable time. I also would have gotten a more reliable quote about how much space would be required. I have no problem recommending ABF if you are just going to load yourself and have them transport. However, DO NOT use the extra services on thier website. I thought I was getting a great deal. However, I feel I was really taken advantage of.

I think they are very good. They are exactly what they say they are. They charged $1000 for the move. They met all the timelines and everything went as promised. I will definitely consider using them in the future.

Extremely well. Everyone we worked with was extremely helpful and professional. They were flexible and accommodating in the scheduling and were timely in their communications and appointments. Everything was explained in detail and all our questions were answered fully. I would highly recommend ABF for anyone considering a move. Oh yeah - everything arrived undamaged!

They gave us accurate quotes on the move (half as expensive as other carriers), they arrived only slightly late of their scheduled time, and kept us informed of progress at every step of the way. We paid on a credit card, which they did not charge until delivery. We were able to track our container on their web site, which was very comforting when the shipment ran into a blizzard in Wyoming. As we packed the container well before it left Boston, everything arrived in good condition. Much more satisfying than other moving companies that I have used in the past.

IT WAS EXCELLENT. THEY WERE REALLY, REALLY GOOD. THEY LOOKED PARTICULARLY GOOD COMPARED TO OTHER COMPANIES WE HAVE USED. THEY WERE REALLY HELPFUL, AND AT THE LOADING TERMINAL THEY WERE VERY HELPFUL AS WELL. THEY ALSO HELPED OPEN THE DOOR ON THE TRUCK WHEN WE ARRIVED, AND THEY HELPED ME TAKE DOWN THE PARTITION ON THE TRUCK. THE ONLY THING THAT WAS BAD WAS THAT THERE WAS A LITTLE CONFUSION AS TO WHETHER WE SHOULD COVER SOMETHING IN PLASTIC ON THE TRUCK.
