Called to ask for a quote, while they answered quickly attitude was awful! Complained about color, paint we had, then when I said it seems as if you are not interested, he said "I'm not" Rude, not professional. Terrible way to be in business.

Al came to the house within a day to give an estimate, which he gave us on the spot. He described the prep needed, the type of materials, the timeline. We had other estimates -- which were a bit lower -- but it was apparent the other estimates did not include the extensive prep work. We have done enough drywall and painting work ourselves to know that without this level of preparation, no paint job would look "finished" -- and the paint would not hold up. The painters appeared on the day and time agreed on and worked diligently. We had an electrical contractor in at the same time doing some upgrades, which meant some additional work for the painters. They accomodated the electrician without a problem and did some followup work after him. The painters were pleasant and not bothered when we stopped by to check on progress. The whole shebang took about a week and a half, with an extra day added because some of the darker woodwork needed additional coats of paint. An extra day is no big deal when you are getting an extra coat of paint professionally applied to woodworK!

Allen and his crew did fair/poor work at best. The project could have been completed sooner if they worked full days when the weather would allow, but most of the time half days were worked. On the first day of work one of his employees tried to paint the south side of a three story building with a 4" foam roller brush. I just couldn't believe it! Allen had him spray that side the next day. Another occasion one of his crew was missing paint on huge sections on the deck railings. When I asked him about this I was told "I don t have the right brush, so this is the best I could do." I ended up spending three hours fixing the railings after he left. Since his crew didn't work in any logical manner sections of the house were missed. I was constantly pointing out missed areas to them. The whole South side of the house looked "patchy" and I received at least 3 different explanations from Allen as to why. Allen told me if I wasn't happy in 30 days after they finished he would come back and spray the South side again. Allen was back in 30 days to re-spray the South side of the house and the problem was corrected. To top it off, they were messy. The garage was left in an unacceptable condition every time they finished working for the day.

The project was completed in about three days, just this past week; and we are completely thrilled with the results. Al and his crew did a high quality job. Plus, they cleaned up 100% of their work and no plants or shrubs were destroyed in the process. We liked working with Al a lot and his crew was professional. We feel the painting job turned out much better than what we were expecting, and we have already recommended Al to several neighbors who have inquired about the work. We would definitely work with Al again.

Al came out and looked at the house, and pointed out places that needed repairs. We showed him the colors we wanted, and he suggested using a contrast color for the overhang to bring more light into the house. We decided to go with that. Al came out another day and power washed the house. Then he did the repairs. On another day his crew came out and painted the house in two days.

I turned to Al because he did such a super job for us a couple of years prior on our previous home. As then, I found Al to be most responsive to our needs, fitting us in with the utmost flexibility, listening attentively, providing his professional experience and guidance, yet accommodating our personal preferences. Al is a joy to work with. He and his team are careful to protect your surroundings well. He is very punctual and makes every effort to complete the work on time. He even worked through the weekends to make it happen! Al is there for you every step of the way, making a difficult experience as pleasant as possible. He is totally reliable, and we just let him have the keys and go in and out as he needed to with great confidence that all will be taken care of. Can't do that with too many others...The place looks terrific, it was done in less time than we feared, and the few touch ups that were needed were done swiftly and gracefully. We are very very happy with Al's work!

Al responded quickly to review the work and provide an estimate. He went out of his way to be flexible with his schedule to work within my tight construction schedule. He was careful to protect adjacent surfaces and clean up after he had completed his work. I am very pleased with the finished product and the experience. I have also worked with Al on commercial projects and have been equally pleased with his work and professionalism.
