We were notified and urged by our son's teachers for him to be tested for a learning disability. We were recommended to Dr. Mallory. Before we had our first meeting with him, we researched all of the different types of tests that our insurance covered that Dr. Mallory could conduct. At our first session and initial meeting with Dr. Mallory, we told him what tests he could conduct that would be covered by our insurance. We also assured Dr. Mallory that the cost of any additional tests that were not covered by our insurance were not a problem to us, but that we only truly cared about getting our son treated and figure out what disability he had. After the six sessions with Dr. Mallory, he gave us a packet stating our son's diagnosis and treatment for his disability. After receiving the diagnosis, we took the results to a couple of other specialists in the area that did the same kind of testing. We found out that Dr. Mallory did not use any current testing standards for treating our son. We also discovered that he used his own testing program, instead of state-certified testing practices and also the tests we recommended that were covered under our insurance. Also, we discovered Dr. Mallory cut corners to save us money, after we told him that the price was not an issue to us. After taking the results to a couple of other experts, we concluded that the tests Dr. Mallory performed were outdated, incomplete, and inappropriate for the diagnosing and treatment of our son's learning disability. My husband and I are currently still in a dispute with Dr. Mallory over the billing issues.
Description of Work: Dr. Mallory was the doctor who consulted, tested, and treated our son for a learning disability. Everything was done over a period of about six sessions. Each session cost us about $150.
