They never provide a receipt for rent paid, even when asked for one (it is in the landlord tenants laws that they do this). Sometimes they will give a receipt after repeated requests but only generally when the landlord tenant laws are mentioned. They refused to provide the water bill in the past (they finally are now providing it). The statement provided is often incorrect as the math is not done right. They refuse to look at the math calculations for the multiple unit shared water meter. And, they do not provide a water statement in a timely manner and often give it to the tenant with 2 or even 3 water cycles on it and the bill must be paid that month often for over $100 at a time. They do not enforce their own rules in the contract such as allwoing tenants to park in fire lanes and do not even tell them to stop so tenants in the back are often either blocked into their driveway or blocked OUT! When these tenants are asked to stop they will yell and scream profanity at other tenants and when reported to the company nothing is done. These tenants are also allowed to have their yard in a disgusting mess and garbage is thrown around, and thrown outside the back door (the front yard of the tenant in the back) and thus the yard is not a livable space or usable for kids. They also allow tenants to keep mean dogs that attack other tenants and then fail to respond to requests for help with this. When animal control did come these tenants were fined a huge fine for the vicious dog and still they were not made to get rid of it. Romero and Sons is just not a good company. They do not follow their own rules, they do not enforce rules in their contract and if a tenant has been there longer than you, well they will lay favorites with them and you will lose out on your complaint. This is just no way to run a rental management company. If you are an owner I do not know how it works with you but I warn you that the tenants are not taken care of in any way. Also, they do not answer their phones during regular business hours (these are posted on their front door) and they do not have an after-hours number for anyone to call. Even if they did, it is really apparent that they do not really care about what they are doing. These guys are only in it for the money, and it shows. They do not care about their units, and they will not do anything in a timely manner such as weatherization needs. Be careful with these people. They will take your money and they will not take care of you, your tenants, or the unit you live in.
Description of Work: Provide receipts for rent paid. Maintenance of unit. Winterizing unit. Enforce rules of contract; including neighboring units and visitors. Enforce state laws for parking regulations. Enforce neighbors yard clean-up. Enforce animal laws and regulations. Enforce rentals agreements. Follow landlord-tenant laws. Answer the phone during business hours. Have a 24 hour contact number that is also answered in a timely manner.

It was a nightmare from start to finish.
Description of Work: All I can say about this company is please, for your own sake DO NOT even think about doing business with these people. Keep your money and run the other way! Total scammers, shady, dishonest and unprofessional! It makes me angry when people are dishonest and take advantage of others. Enough said.

The property had been sitting vacant for 4 mos. and within 2 weeks of them managing, they had rented the property. They were very responsive and have been great to work with.
