A Better Painting Solution

Called Matthew to schedule an estimate. He was able to come over next morning, friendly, and on time. We received verbal bid that day and written a couple days later by email. We had to push job back by a week but Matthew stated it was no problem. He started the job on a Thursday and said he would be done on Friday afternoon. We went by on Friday morning and Matthew stated that he had someone on his way over to help him finish. We went back by house a few days later to walk through and about half of the job was complete. All the painting was done, however things were not right in areas. Paint on edge of hardwood floors, holes not filled, brush strokes in paint on windowsill, peeling paint not fixed, old paint showing through, stairwell not painted, handrail very rough to touch. Called and left message for Matthew to contact me about finishing job, as he was out of town. He called the following week as soon as he was in town and came by to walk through house. He apologized and said he left worker behind to finish and worker did not finish job correctly. Matthew stayed and worked on areas that needed attention. We were back at the house for another walk through later that week and it was better however still not completely done. The brush stokes in picture window had not been fixed, a door had been closed with wet paint on it chipping the door and making marks in paint, paint not cleaned off floor edges, and stairwell was touched up however you could see all the lines from old paint and new paint. Called Matthew again and asked him to come over and look at house again. He arrived at the house that afternoon and started cleaning paint off the floor, and finishing rest of job. Project was completed after third time of having him come out to house.
