Malcolm was a really nice guy. Answered my questions promptly, if not, then at least he returned my calls within a 24-hour period. Was very flexible on schedule and started exactly on the day he said he would. Responded to new requests during the tear out of the driveway (e.g. hauling away a few more pieces of brick). And also let my neighbor throw some stuff in as well. The price was steep, but in comparison to all my other bids (4 to be exact), his was pretty close and most of all, he was prompt and responsive. The other contractors didn't even bother to call me back. One last item: my neighbor has been a general contractor for 20 years and he was also impressed by the work of Malcolm. His only comment was that he would've put in steel wire for the driveway. But as I researched, steel wire may/may not be used dependent on soil conditions. So make sure to ask Malcolm how your soil conditions are!
