Prompt communication on the phone, prompt and on-time service, efficiently went about the business of cleaning our two fireplaces and chimney, made a minor repair to our wood-burning insert in the ordinary course of his work, provided reasonable cost options on chimney caps, didn't try to oversell, and completed the chimney cap installation neatly while we were not home. Solid, reliable service all around.
Description of Work: Chimney sweep and installation of two chimney caps.

+ -1 moreI called Bob after I had a chimney fire (within a month of having my chimney "cleaned" by another local company). He was so thorough and helpful. I can honestly say that I don't think I've ever gotten better value for my money than he gave me for the chimney cleaning he performed for my wood stove. I was so impressed with him that I have distributed his business cards to all my coworkers and friends. I would highly recommend him to anyone who has a wood stove and needs chimney cleaning or servicing for their wood stove. He is the only person I will call for such services now, and I will be having him install a chimney liner this summer. Call him! You won't be sorry.
Description of Work: Bob removed my wood stove, the door to it, and the chimney cap. He thoroughly cleaned the fireplace, the wood stove, the pipe (inside and outside), the chimney cap, and the fan intake and door. He was more thorough than anyone I have ever had do this job, and took the time to explain how to use my wood stove most efficiently. He even took a look at my wood stockpile and give me tips about cleaner burning wood types.

+ -1 moreBob cleaned it out perfectly and then cleaned everything in the surrounding area. He cleaned out our wood stove, and vaccuumed around the stove, completely shined the front glass. It was amazing work. He even brought coloring books for our two kids about chimney cleaning. Very professional and would highly recommend!
Description of Work: We have an extremely difficult chimney. The pipe is at a 45 degree angle inside, about 7-8 feet from the stove to the roof. The outside roof is sloped 45 degrees as well and the chimney is about six feet high. Our pipes were filled with creosote and we could hear it falling down the chimney whenever we would start our fire. Bob completely cleaned it all out. Great work!
