Nephi and his assistant did excellent and quick work. They were done in just a few hours. Nephi's pricing was very fair. He did not charge extra for colored gutters (unlike some other folks we got bids from). He also screwed the gutters in instead of using nails. We were also happy that he did the carpentry work of replacing some of the fascia board. (Some of company expected us to find a carpenter to do that.) Nephi was very nice in returning to finish a downspout that he had to wait on because we were building an arbor. He did not charge extra for that. As we asked, he ran the downspout through the arbor so that the rainwater would be carried overhead and into our rain garden on the other side of the path. He also added a new downspout in the front of the house that originally had too long of a run. He also put gutter strainers and rain quieting pads in the downspouts. We are very happy with his thorough work and highly recommend him.

This the second time We have had Nephi out for work on our property. The first time was in the all to replace our shop roof. We found Nephi and his crew to be hard-working and skilled. One of the things we really appreciate is that they completed our job before moving to the next job. They also put in full days and showed up when they said they would. We recommend you consider them for your next roofing or gutter projects.

We've used Superior NW before and had great experience, so when our gutters on the house clogged up (they haven't been serviced in at least 2-3 years) we called them to clean them out. Nephi came out and looked at the gutters, and provided a quote- and also provided a quote for cleaning the moss off our roof (which was also something we needed to have done). We hired them for both services, and scheduled for a convenient day. Nephi came out and did the work with his team. The work was fast, efficient and great. End result was exactly what I was hoping for. I really like their professionalism, efficiency, good cost-to-value and overall service. I will continue to use them in the future.

After a minor mix up at the beginning, the gentleman who arrived to quote came on time and was very professional and courteous. He examined the gutter and then they provided back a quote promptly. Since it was the 'crunch' time of year, I didn't pursue another quote, but instead felt that theirs was reasonable so hired them for service. They arrived on time for the installation and it was at that time that they realized that the gentleman who quoted had misstated the work to be done and that the actual job was SIGNIFICANTLY more complex than they originally thought. Instead of running a straight gutter along the deck (relatively straightforward), they were going to have to craft a gutter that went around all of our deck rails (about 14-15 in all). So instead of this being a straightforward simple job, this would be an incredibly arduous task that would take multiple days to complete. What happened next was what I feel really makes them stand out as a company of integrity and quality service: They determined that although the bid was completely incorrect, they honored the bid and the cost and completed the job. The work took multiple days (obviously, considering the amount of work to be done), but the result was outstanding. I've never seen a gutter with this type of outstanding intricate work and I was duly impressed. It clearly demonstrates the quality of their work and the expertise of their team. I would highly recommend this supplier because not only do they have an incredible team of highly skilled experts, but they also are a company who holds customer service and integrity as the highest priority.

Overall it went well. I don't know if we employed this company at a strange time in their growth but I could tell it was causing problems. We had an estimate done and a date had opened up for installation. Nephi was supposed to come to pickup a check and look over everything one last time prior to installation. However he was taking a dental school test and missed our appointment. I wasn't particularly bothered by this, but I would have been even more understanding if I knew about it before hand and could have made other arrangements. Sonja called me and we worked everything out. The installation went well, although the helper had called in sick or was not available so the installation started several hours late. It was supposed to only take 1/2 day. Nephii ended up working into the dark and while I appreciate the dedication to getting the job done, I asked if he could finish up the next day as I didn't feel anyone's best work happens when it's pitch black and raining and cold. Nephi seemed very knowledgeable but I could tell he was having a rough day. He finished up the next day while I was at work. I did ask for a return visit to correct a slight upward tilt in a long run in the back, and they agreed but to my knowledge this has not been done yet. Overall I was happy with the quality of work with a minor exception noted above. I am not sure if we just hired this company on a day that was not going well but still feel they did a good job at a good price. UPDATE (9/2011) After reading the response from NW gutters, though several months later, I feel compelled to clear up several frustrating errors in their reply. They claim they had problems on my end with the deposit, which is incorrect. As I mentioned in my original post, we had made an appointment for Nephi to come by the house. He was going to deliver the contract to be signed and pickup a deposit as he said he'd be in area that day. He missed the appointment with no call to cancel. We waited over an hour and finally called Sonja and she informed us he was taking a dental school test. Nephi ended up driving out on a Saturday after a soccer game since the original appointment was missed. In their contract it states "a down-payment equal to 1/2 of the total contract price is due at the time of contract signing." So I'm unsure how I was supposed to make a down payment any earlier without even having a contract. As for Final Payment, I was prepared to pay at the completion of the job, which I expected to be on day one. However their foreman called in sick, and Nephi got a later start than planned and he was still trying to finish near 7:30pm in the dark. I asked him to come back tomorrow as I was uncomfortable with him working that late at night. I told him that when he was finished to call me, I would happily drive home from work (10 minutes away) and give him a check. I leave for work at 6am, so that was my best option to ensure final payment at the time of completion. I was never called after completion and so called Sonja when I got home later that day and arranged to mail final payment which they cashed 3 days later. I should not be made out to be the bad guy with payments when I made every possible attempt to put a check in hand yet had no one to give it to. I refuse to accept that I was "hard to get touch with by phone." I, like many, have a busy job, meetings etc, and am not always able to answer my phone, however I promptly returned calls at the soonest possible time. This is simply an inaccurate and unfair statement. The claim about our "larger home" is also incorrect and makes me wonder if they had the wrong house in mind when responding to this post. We have roughly 115' of gutters, all on the first floor, and had no downspouts replaced. I would assume a larger house would have cost much more than $450 and been much more involved. I would guess this was why I was told it should only take 1/2 day, and that it was an easy job. Again, I am being made out to be the unreasonable one here when it was their worker who called in sick causing the other installer to have to work longer to finish the job. Also incorrect is that tear down and most of the installation actually occurred all on day 1, not prior to install as they state. I had a carpenter on site the week before who was leveling our porch overhang to make sure the new gutters would flow toward the drain instead of away from them as had been the previous problem with the old gutters. I will say that the price quoted was good, which is partially why I chose them. However the second bid I had was only $50 more so I take exception with their response making it seem like we received some amazing deal. They submitted the lowest bid for a very straight forward, uncomplicated replacement of 4 short gutter runs and were hired. The two other bidders on this job both commented on how they wished every home they bid could be as "simple as this". I will agree that it probably was the framing that caused the slight incline near the drain on the back of our house, but here again, I was never called back to say they actually re-visited the house nor what their finding was. In fact, their reply below was the first I was even aware of a return visit. After contacting them the day after final install for a return visit, and never hearing back, I just let it go as I did not want seem like a pest over something that was probably minor. I felt my initial review was honest, gave them a good grade, listed the pros and cons about my particular experience with this company (which is the point of Angie's list after all...good and bad) and said nothing disparaging or untrue. I said that it felt, in my opinion, that the business was having a rough few days with dental tests, soccer practices, sick employees etc, but I believe they did great work and in-fact recommended them to other friends. I was quite taken aback to have received attacking response from the vendor. I will no longer be recommending them to others and have changed my ratings of their professionalism to reflect this. I've worked with several contractors on wood flooring, tree trimming, carpentry and concrete and have never had one come back to say negative things like this.

Nephi came out to examine our current gutters and recommended deeper gutters. He came on the scheduled day, removed and disposed the old gutters and installed the new deeper ones. The new gutters look great and we are happier with their performance. However the new gutters did not resolve a drip problem we have had since we a back porch was added a few years ago. He came back out, free of charge, installed some flashing and added caulk (while it started raining). This has improved the situation considerably. He left us the remaining caulk so we know what to use for maintenence.

Superior Gutter Company came out for an estimate and suggested some changes in the size of a downspout to solve a particular problem we have had with the old gutters. They also suggested a "can do" for a bay window which needed some protection. Despite a very busy schedule, they came on a week-end to get the work done before the rainy season. And the bill matched the estimated cost.

Excellent service! There was an immediate response to my e-mail inquiry for a bid. This was the best bid I received and the most professional interaction. The work was completed a day later with great care. I would definitely use this company again.

Once the estimate was given, the work was completed in a very professional manner. The price was very reasonable and we would definitely use this company again for any type of gutter repair or replacement.

It was clean and perfect. They were clean and efficient. They came out the next day. They gave me an estimate. Within a few days they had a crew out. They had the old gutters out and the new gutters on. It was great. They were very easy o work with.

We have had gutter problems for years and had work done by 2 different "repair men" in the past, so when we decided to have them all replaced, we were determined to get the job done properly this time. We had 4 different companies come out to evaluate the job and give us a quote and the quotes varied considerably, but Nephi was the only person to offer us the low cost ($32) option to have the gutters attached with screws, rather than nails. So, based on his reasonable quote and unique option to use screws, we chose Nephi and we now know that we made the right decision. On the assigned day, Nephi arrived and completed the job as described in a professional manner. The new gutters were one continuous pieces (per section of roof) and were screwed firmly into place. The new down spouts were installed and fitted correctly into the drains, so all the roof water now ends up down the drains (where they are supposed to go). When finished, Nephi took away all of the old gutter pieces and tidied up all around the house, so there was no evidence of a hard day's work being done. However, this first rainy night was a noisy one, as the new gutter and down spout caused a very noisy dripping sound right next to our bedroom window - we hadn't heard this noise before as the gutters never worked properly. So, I contacted Nephi and asked him what could be done and within a few days, he had come by our house and added something that completely muffled the dripping sound, and when I thanked him and asked how much I owed him, he said there was "No Charge" - when was the last time you heard that from a repair contractor? All in all, we have had an excellent job done, for a fair and reasonable price, in a timely manner and with superior after care service. I would HIGHLY recommend Nephi to do any form of gutter repair and/or replacement.
