+ -1 moreMr. Robinson arrived at my house promptly at our appointed time. He explained what his camera could do and what information it would give me. He went through each and every room, taking infrared snapshots of every wall, ceiling and visible surface. Wet areas "light up" on the camera and help determine the source of the water intrusion, according to his description. The bill was precisely what his quote said it would be. He was courteous, friendly and helpful and I will call him again whenever we buy another house!
Description of Work: Mr. Robinson uses an infrared camera to determine unseen areas of water intrusion. The camera will take photos of both the inside and the outside of your home, to determine if you have water leakage. He even pointed it at the ceiling to see if the roof was leaking. It's amazing what you don't know about your house, because you assume the dryness of the outside reflects something inside your wall. Moisture can seep between your walls and you will not be aware of it. This service can also be used determine if your walls have been properly dried out, after water intrusion has been detected and fixed. It will also help pinpoint the source of water intrusion, if the source has not already been identified. Mr. Robinson also advertises this business as an addition to a home inspection prior to closing. I believe it to be invaluable in Oregon where rain abounds! I would recommend this service to anybody considering purchasing a home. His service is a very valuable tool.
