Original contractor backed out of the installation of our vinyl fence. Martin was able to step in quickly and has done a fabulous job putting the fence together. Even with the changes I would make, he was always patient and would just figure out how to do what I wanted. And when I decided to add a lamp post - he did the work and it looks fabulous. The crew is hardworking, and they always keep everything neat and clean. Fitting me in at the last minute and still keeping up with his regular customers shows what a great work ethic this company has. From now on, I will ask him first if he can do whatever jobs I need done outside - he has a huge ability not limited to landscape maintenance.

No problems

It was so nice to have a drawing beforehand to show exactly the work to be performed, and a detail of the work to be done. Martin was always willing to do exactly what we wanted, but his ideas were superior to ours. Putting in a retaining wall was a huge effort as it is 75 feet long, it was done perfect even though we live in the country and no one will really ever see it - it is beautiful for us to see. We have had so many compliments on our yard, there is nothing we would change.

Quality of his peoples work is generally good however I find Martin's profesionalism and responsiveness to be poor. I have yet to hear back from him about some additional work I would like done. It appears to me that he ignores you if he doesn't want to deal with you.

They do an awesome job on everything I have them do. Pricing is very reasonable.

He seems dependable. I use him twice a year. He has been able to complete the jobs for me and do a professional job. He does major stuff that I am unable to do myself - trimming shrubs, removing plants/shrubs/trees. He comes - he doesn't send someone else to do the work.

I requested Greenpoint to provide a proposal and quote to refurbish the backyard in June 2011. The plan was extensive, new sod, new deck, rock or paver patio, vegetable planters. Greenpoint arrived, discussed, measured, and delivered a proposal a few days later as agreed. However, the quote was also very vague, so I sent some basic questions to prevent surprises, such as, what kind of pavers, what material will the planters be built with, and what kind of wood for the deck. That message was sent weeks ago and still no reply. Perhaps this Landscaper does not provide much design capability, or perhaps they are too busy. Either way it is no excuse for lack of response. I get the distinct impression that Landscapers in this area expect and get customers to spends wads of cash with only a hazy plan and no influence. Perhaps this is a summer only phenomenon, as if they have so many customers begging for services, they can afford to mistreat them. However, I hope that there are still a few that will treat a customer like a customer, instead of an obstacle to avoid. I would not use Greenpoint services in the future nor recommend them. Instead, go with a Landscaper that is not above answering a few basic questions.
