 + -1 moreMade an appointment through their online system. Got an auto confirmation. Then got a reminder email. Then NO ONE SHOWED UP. Called and emailed and when someone finally responded they couldn't care less that they missed the appointment. This company used to be incredible (when Alex was there). Apparently not anymore. If they can't keep an appointment why would we trust them with thousands of dollars of work?

They were always very responsive, professional, and addressed any questions or concerns. The quality of the work was excellent and the price was reasonable.  + -1 mored/K Exteriors is a fine company; I would highly recommend them for replacing the siding on your house and installation of windows....These were the two major tasks that they did for me. Karl (the co-owner) is professional, friendly and straight-forward in his detailed explanation of their work, the performance of the work, and the follow-up to confirm my pleasure with the job done. I truly appreciated his approach and the time he spent in guiding me thru this process (including answering my zillion questions about how, why, and when). When putting Hardie Plank siding on my house, there is definitely a right and wrong way to do it.....even the Sherwin Williams staff shared this with me. Karl did it very right! I believe he has an engineering background, and it shows in his methodical, practical, and honest adherence to practicing proper procedures, teaching them to his team, and assuring that each job is done right.
Description of Work: Removed old siding and windows. Put on new Hardie plank siding and new Milgard windows for the whole house

Our general contractor recommended that we contact d/K Exteriors to assess the problem and implement a solution. Karl, Joe and the team from d/K Exteriors came up with a cost effective solution that minimized changes to the existing cedar siding. They also located and remediated other areas of weakness that had the potential to cause future leaks. All repairs were completed in a timely and efficient manner with minimum exposure to the winter elements. I would highly recommend d/K Exteriors to anyone looking for an exterior contractor providing quality work at a very reasonable price.

 + 1 moreOn the outside of our house they removed the fake stucco and found dry rot. They removed the damage and repaired it. then they put cedar and stome on. Every night when they left the front was spotless they swept and cleaned up everyday. They were on time and showed up everyday. Even with the damage they found and had to fix they were able to stay in the time line they gave us. The house looks better than we imagined and the neighbors have given us many compliments.
Description of Work: We have used the company twice. Once inside the house to remodel our laundry room. They also removed the eifes on the fron of our home and replaced it with stone and cedar. The work they did was on time and professional. I plan on using them again when we update our bathroom. The work is of the highest quality and I found them very honest (which is hard to find these days). I would highly recommend them

Description of Work: We scheduled with Karl to have some drywall fixed and a fan replaced in a bedroom. (The prior fan lost a fan blade while on, started rocking wildly, damaged ceiling drywall, and came crashing down.) They originally bid just over $385 to fix drywall and install a fan provided by us. On the morning they showed to do the work, Chuck determined that it would be easy for us, the homeowner, to patch the drywall a bit, replace the fan bracket ourselves, and install our own new fan. They tested where the fan bracket would mount and determined that it was still solid for a new fan. Hence we are doing our own work. Thanks, Karl and Chuck. See you next time.

 + -1 moreJob went super - they showed on time and performed to bid. Cleanup was superb with everything in the work area vacuumed, not just "broom clean." This happened despite a miscommunication regarding a transition doorway from the new floor to a kitchen tiled area - they installed a transition strip, as is normal, but I had set the tile elevation so that the adjoining rooms and hallway were to be flush with the tile instead of the usual "bump" in the doorway. They returned, pulled up the NEW flooring, and reinstalled new boards exactly as I had planned; using a laser-guided saw no doubt contributed to their workmanship - which I deem to be excellent. This rework took an additional trip and over 4 hours labor for which I was not charged.
Description of Work: Job was to prep old worn out fir floors in two rooms of a 1902 house and install new solid hardwood flooring. The prep was tricky in that while one room was in decent enough shape to install new directly over the old, the 2nd room was worn far beyond saving with some areas showing the tongue of the old boards, others severely warped (over 1/8 inch waves.) A previous owner had tried to level/shim the flooring from underneath (in the basement) with the result that some of the tongue and grooves had cracked and it was easy to check to see if the basement lights were left on since I could see through the old floor cracks..... We decided the best approach was to cut out an 8 by 16 foot area of old flooring in the buckled area and install 3/4 ply as a subfloor. This required a lot of planing of the surrounding old floor and addition of 30 pound felt underlay in surrounding areas in order to level the new surface for the hardwood to install properly. All repairs were glued and screwed to the original floor joists; no nails/staples were used. I'm a retired mechanical engineer so I tend to be picky about details.

 + 0 moreThey were wonderful. Having someone work on our house that shows up when they say they will, stick to the budget and perform above and beyond was great. It looks better than we imagined. Not knowing what was under the EIFES until it is torn off is a bit scary. They were able to repair it and make it to code and fix things the builder did poorly. They were honest and excellent craftsmen. I can't say enough good things about them. I was so happy witht the work I even baked them cookies!!
Description of Work: Removed EIFES ( stucco) from the outside of our home. They repaired places with dry rot including having to build a new fireplace. Resided the house. Custome made trim for arched windows. Installed new light fixtures. Stacked stone added to garage and entry.

They ended up replacing more of the fence than we anticipated at bid. They only charged for the extra lumber. I am highly recommending Glacier Point Construction, as they care about the finished product.
Description of Work: Karl replaced several fence posts that had rotted, and replaced other boards as necessary. Our fence is good to go for hopefully many years now.
