They got back with us but we did not go with them because they were a higher quote, but they were very reputable. It turned out I have gone to school with Jim Harbison, the president. He was very professional and it was a very professional quote. I had contacted some other people and I actually gave the job to somebody else. There was nothing wrong with Superior Foundations. The quote was based on square footage. It came out to 5-something on square footage, and we ended up going with somebody else closer to 3 1/2. Apparently he lost our number because his truck had been broken in 2 and so he had to go through his phone to return call after the initial call placed. It was like, we never heard from him, but he did call eventually and explained the situation. He did come out within a day and looked at the job, and then within 2-3 days, he sent us an estimate. He was very thorough. Nothing was wrong, it's just that it was quite high. He was probably one of the higher ones that had quoted. We had 4 or 5 quotes, and he was right up there on the top. After he explained, I kind of understood them.

Interviewed a lot of contractors over the 8 months i have owned the home. Most of the men i interviewed were only interested in one thing and that was taking my money. Jim Harbison of Superior Foundations was straightforward with me. He was very fair and honest for what he charged. He was able to help me take care of my foundation so i could get on with the remodeling project. He also was able to give me names of people that he knew in the business that I could call on who were also ethical and honest. What i have found in the remodeling business before calling on Jim Harbison of Superior Foundations was that a lot of men in the business just wanted my money. They also didn't listen to what i wanted done. Jim heard me and could also give me his advice and expertise which saved me money. He came in with his crew and immediately got to work and finished the job ahead of schedule and i am very happy with my new stem wall. He has years of experience that made the difference for me. He was very far in his charges for the job. He lived his word to me and kept me abreast of the project Jim Harbison of Superior Foundations has integrity and that attribute has real value to me and my life. I was able to call him any time and get him on the phone during the project as well as after his job was done. He will answer his phone and be available. In contrast to other contractors who wont return your call after they are done with you. He gave me names and addresses of projects i could go see before hiring him and there were both big and small jobs. He will go anywhere to look at a project to see if he can help someone. No project is either too big or too small for him and his crew. He came to help me. Am so grateful i could hire someone who has all those years of experience. He is just a good human being. I am going to hire him for my 2nd patio that i will be having poured in the near future.
