It went very well. Shawn was a pleasure to work with- very prompt in response to questions, and I had a few changes thrown in during the project that he was very flexible on. We decided to vault the ceiling in the nursery in order to leave the collar ties exposed (beautiful 100 year old fir). This meant for a difficult install because it wasn't possible to get full sheets up in the tight spaces above the collar ties. It also meant masking off the exposed wood so it wouldn't get drywall mud all over it. Shawn came out and carefully wrapped each 2x4 in paper and taped off at the edges prior to mud and priming. The finished product looks great. They also did a great job patching all of the holes in plaster walls from blown-in insulation and matching the existing wall texture. They were very competitive on price and the quality of work overall was fantastic. Came out again to fix a few screw pops no questions asked. I would highly recommend these guys!
Description of Work: Hung and finished drywall through spray prime in remodeled bathroom, walk-in closet, and nursery. Patched in large section of ceiling in common room. Patched holes in plaster in common room and bedroom where insulation was blown in and matched existing texture on walls.

We had some damage caused by roofers working on the roof, and because of a leak. We have a brocade ceiling so repair is quite tricky. Shawn came by to give an estimate and expressed confidence that he could match up the finish pretty well. He took a sample from the ceiling to get the colors matched with was nice. Overall Shawn did a decent job of matching up the brocad repair; you can still tell where the repair is but it tends to blend in well enough. The water stains were removed with a cleaner and one wall area was repaired. The repaired areas look decent - good overall. However unfortunately my wife returned from an errand as they were finishing and noticed that the bed had been pulled out from the wall. She asked if they could put it back and they did. However they did not release the supports under the frame so they essentially broke the bed frame. So we had to get a new bed but I wasn't that upset about it as we wanted to get a new bed anyway.
Description of Work: Had 2 ceiling areas and one wall area repaired and water stains removed.

This is the second time we have used Shawn for texture work. He has done excellent work both times. I like that he uses a spray texture gun rather than using cans of spray texture. I believe this provides a higher quality end product. My only negative is that this time he left a bit of a mess. When I returned home, there was a large swipe of spray material on our leather couch, and it was clear that he had used our vacuum for some clean up, as there was texture material all over that as well. I was able to wipe the spray off with some elbow grease, and because of this did not notify him of the oversight. He cleaned up after himself very well the first time we used his services. I would hire him again.
Description of Work: Repair of numerous defects to a variety of rooms. Patching of a number of holes from recent insulation work, followed by retexturing. Retextured a wall as well. Many other small texture repairs as well.

Shawn is a pleasure to work with. He does excellent work at very good prices. He is willing to tackle jobs that others don't want to do. I have hired him on three separate occasions as part of a whole house remodel and have been happy with the work each time. Shawn is pleasant to work with, and hires help that is also high quality, efficient and personable. I recommend Shawn 100% without hesitation for any drywall or related work.

Overall we had a great experience. Shawn came out and got our estimate back to us quickly. The workers were quick, punctual, as quiet as they could be and saved me a ton of money. The teams of people worked efficiently and well together, and overall the operation was very fast. The fix on the plaster/lath looks great, and you can't even tell that there was an issue. I would definitely recommend Shawn and perfect touch to anyone looking for drywall work.

Shawn came out very quickly to give a bid, he did a precise measurement and gave a price that was well below the others. The work was done on time and well. Shawn does exaclty what he says he is going to. He does not waste your time and money chatting with you! I would definitely use this company again (we already did) and heartily recommend him!
Description of Work: We used Perfect Touch for two projects, one at our home as we were preparing it to sell and one at one of our rentals. At one, he did some simple framing and furring and at both hung and finished the sheetrock.

The results were outstanding; the process very easy and remarkably quick. Only caveat is that Shawn did not alert us to prepare the area and cover or tape anything in the room we did not want sprayed. Nor did he mention it at the time. Probably only an oversight. I would use him again, however.

There was a lot of patchwork included and we were concerned with it showing but Shawn and his crew did a great job of blending it all together to make it look like brand new construction.

I am not sure what business issues are being referred to. We both left each other a couple messages, once we actually spoke on the phone I went out of my way to schedule an appointment to look at her job on a weekend while out with my family. She proceeded to explain there situation which was they were in a legal dispute with an insulation contractor that had ruined there entire ceiling while installing attic insulation. She told me she needed an estimate by Monday to present to the other contractor which was responsible for paying for the repairs.I spent well over 30 minutes going over options and what I recommended be done to make the ceilings look like new. I sent her the estimate Sunday evening and never heard from her again. When I saw this report I was shocked, I thought I was very prompt, took time out of my family outing to bid the job and got the estimate to them before Monday. As my other reports show this is not an accurate repersentation of my company. I am unaware of the "business issues" she speaks of. I am very certain that given the oppurtunity I will continue to make my customers very happy as my past reports indicate.

They did a really good job. They did a good job to begin with, and then we had to cut a big hole in the ceiling and reroute the fan system because of what our inspector said, and they came back and patched it and did a super job. They were really good. We wanted them to come back and fix the hole because they did such a good job in the first place.

I called Shawn and he was prompt and quick with a very reasonable estimate. He & his crew showed up when they said they would, performed all of the work in the estimate as well as throwing in some extra work for the same price. The work was completed when they said it would be, and was also done very well. Who says good help is hard to find?

Shawn from Perfect Touch Drywall (his company) arrived exactly on time - 7AM - to look at the project and provide an estimate. He was well prepared, bringing a measuring wheel and looked around my project - it is a basement remodel. He provided input on finishing the shower enclosure and several other details. In all the visit took about 15 minutes. Shawn responded back with a phone/verbal estimate the next day. His stated in his message that his price was $2400 and to let him know if I wanted to proceed with a written estimate. I appreciated this approach since I'm sure that many bids do not result in a contract so it can save us both time to provide the dollar value verbally first followed by a written contract if both parties wish to proceed. Makes sense to me.Shawn was the low bidder of four and we executed a contract with one change to what was originally bid. I wanted concrete panels in the shower enclosure so Shawn added $100 for that. I paid him 50% deposit. We agreed on a start date. Shawn had some trouble with the material delivery on 6/6 Monday morning, they showed up a couple of hours later that he had said. His crew finished hanging all the rock by the end of that day, about 9 pm. I was absolutely amazed that they could hang that much sheet rock in one day (70 sheets). The next day a different crew (guy) came to put the first coat of mud and tape on. OVer the next 6 or 7 days they put additional coats of mud on and sanded. There was one kind of major change that I made. I had a wall with my laundry attached to it and I had not dealt with it. So I had to rip off some of the the new sheet rock and demo the copper and waste lines, I made a big mess. Shawn came over and looked it over, he is a man of few words. We agreed on a price of $300 to fix it and finish it. I was very relieved. They fixed it the next day, textured the whole job and I paid him the balance due by check. The job looks absolutly wonderful. I did all the rest of the project myself - framing, plumbing, mechanical and electrical, but I never would have gotten results like this on the finish sheet rock. The results exceeded my expectations.Shawn is very professional and very hardworking. Its his own company and I am very impressed by his work ethic, attention to detail, his crews and his overall service. Thank you Shawn!!
Description of Work: The project was a basement remodel. About 800 SF of floor space. I did all the work up to this point myself. Fully permitted and inspected by AHJ. When Shawn saw the job, it was ready for sheet rock with all framing, electrical, plumbing, insulation and mechanical work complete. I had four bids. Shawn's was the lowest. Of the bidders, Shawn's work truck and his demenor gave me the most confidence. He seems like a guy who has built his own business around this trade and this type of work and he walks the talk about his trade.

Everything went as expected; no issues, no problems. Shawn is a get it done guy. He has my thanks!!!
Description of Work: I needed to have the ceiling of my basement redrywalled due to water damage from the kitchen above as well as having some new water lines and electrical work completed. Shawn gave me an immediate response to my request for a bid to install drywall and patch multiple holes, dings and marginal drywall that had been done by the former owner of the house. I called him, he came out to my place the same morning that I called him(he had job in progress close by). He gave be a very good price-in fact he beat his competition. I have total faith and security with Shawn-I gave him my garage door code so he could come and go and so I would not have to be home-he and his colleagues arrived promptly-at the agreed to time, did their work as agreed, finished everything in a timely fashion and left things absolutely clean. I had some ideas that Shawn advised me would not be cost effective nor achieve the look I wanted. I very much appreciated his frank and honest assessment. I highly recommend Perfect Touch drywall. Shawn got the job done and got it done right the first time.

unfortunately as well as doing the taping and texturing for my company, I also do the estimating. Can't afford to employ a full time estimator. I have been fortunate enough to have a very full work load for the past year and a half. I didn't purposely miss the appointment, i was held up on a couple of jobs that day and lost track of time. I was running late on getting home to help my wife (who is 7 1/2 months pregnant) with my 18 month old son and I completely forgot about the appointment. I am very sorry for the inconvenience

I replaced the ceiling framing in my garage and needed to have new drywall installed on the ceiling and on the walls where new posts were installed. I checked Angie's List for contractors to do the drywall and found Shawn Jenson, owner of Perfect Touch Drywall. After agreeing on the scope of work and price, Shawn and his crew performed all work very professionally and in a timely manner. He kept the work area neat and quality of the work is excellent. I would hire his company again and would recommend them to anyone.
