MICHAEL'S PAINTING

The paint job overall is very good. They painted everything we asked them to paint. Unfortunately, they forgot not to paint the blue room. The answer we got was, "I don't remember you telling me that." In a later conversation, he admitted remembering me telling him not to paint the "blue room". Also, after removing the wallpaper in the master bath, they decided to "texture" the walls so they could paint them. The reasoning was because the sheetrock would suck up too much paint. Sounded good to us but the texture doesn't match the rest of the house because they used a different "technique". Their clean-up was incomplete. Between the kitchen and the dining room, where the tile stops and the carpet begins, were dried paint flakes which weren't vacuumed up. The sink in the kitchen had paint residue where they cleaned their tools and forgot to clean the sink. In the master bath, the toilet tank had sheet rock mud residue, as did the shower, the vanity counter top, the mirror and the baseboards. I asked him to come back and clean it, he said he would, but did a very poor job. The residue was still in the shower, on the toilet tank, and the baseboards. The vanity counter and mirror still had paint as did the kitchen sink.
